NZXT Kraken Elite AIO - Same Great Performance with Quality of Life Upgrades to an Amazing Display

The new ‪@NZXTglobal‬ Kraken Elite comes with a lot of quality of life upgrades to the display with a higher resolution, higher refresh rate, and the ability to turn the display to 12 positions instead of the previous Z positions 4 that it had. My main reason for getting this though was the pump going out on my Z53 which made a loud noise. I don't know that everyone needs to upgrade to this if you already have a good AIO, especially if it is a Z series from NZXT. I don't get crazy with the tests in this video as it's not something I really have the time to do but I hope the tests I did give you some small idea of how this will perform. @@1UpNerdcoredude it’s terrible out here, i bought the non elite version thinking oh it’s just 30 frames slower that’s fine. NO ONE MENTIONED THAT THE SCREEN IS A SQUARE CUT OUT ONLY. i was so mad about that

If you place a pump as the highest point in any liquid flow system then you will get air in the pump, which will cause noise and damage the impeller over time along with less performance overall. If you look at the coolant reservoir in your car, the reservoir is the highest point in the system with you water pump typically as low as it can be mounted. You have an air gap in the reservoir's top so that there is never a build up of air in the radiator or any other part of the system. Mount your on the top of your case is the safest option to make it a mute point. If you have to do it on a side panel position the tubes up top and the radiator as high in the side panel as possible.

NZXT cam never crashes,even at high loads of functionality and no one should discouraged by his experience. Switching to CAM Beta is the way to go, it runs smoothly and gets patch updates faster than I can keep up with. Lastly, if you are placing the AIO vertical, it was designed specifically to have the radiator sitting upright and not upside down as shown in this video. NZXT has confirmed this. I bet that your noise is being created by the incorrect position. I have a Z63 elite rgb on one of my builds and produces zero noise! Hope this helped.

Excellent video! Regarding the sizes of the blocks, the Z53 is smaller. At 79mm diam and 52mm height. Elite is 81.9mm diam and 59.5mm height. The only reason I know this specifically is because I was unsure if the new elite would fit my mini ITX case - which I am risking lol

VERY good video on NZXT aio's. If air is in the pump, turn the pc upside down temporarily, make the rad higher than the pump, then run pump at 100% for an hour, should fix it.

Is it normal for the display to seem washed out slightly? Especially red and colors close to red.

Nothing is washed out … you can set it yourself!

yo is there a possibility to buy different compression fittings for the cooling tubes so I can change them? Also if I can what is the diameter of the tubing so I can buy the right ones?

That info will be in the spec sheet listings, I don’t know it off hand. If you change those out it will void the warranty so keep that in mind

I gave up on NZXT AIO's after the 3rd warranty replacement in 4 years. The pump construction just isn't up to running 24/7. The most recent pump started failing after a grand total of 5 months. Its always the same noise that gets gradually worse. They look pretty, but the component quality is terrible in my experience. And on a side note, the X and Elite series share the same pump as far as I'm aware. The changes are nearly all cosmetic.

@exurosanctus i personally have corsair h100i since 2018. I still use it to date. My cpu is 1700x>3600x>5800x3d. Now i am researching for 280 aio. But looks like there is quality issue on AIO nowadays. So im planning on getting Air cooler.
