I couldn't say it better myself. I'm like that. But the people I love aren't like that toward me. The amount of times I've gotten close to someone and then to watch them walk out of my life like I'm nothing to them. And the worse part is that I still care about them and love them deeply. I try to tell myself to stop caring about people and to not get close to anyone again, but my heart never listens. I hate it. And to clarify, this is not about romantic relationships. There is nothing we can do to change how people feel towards us. We can give our all and that's what really matters at the end. I will tell you one thing and I hope you remember this for the future, "Keep your expectations high on achievement and low of people". High expectations usually lead to disappointment, and that's why we feel the way we do when we don't feel we are getting the response we want from people. You need to focus on yourself, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you are, caring so much for people, but think about yourself first. Most importantly, don't change the way you are. Keep caring :) it is their problem if APPRECIATION is not a word in their dictionary. You are awesome the way you are, keep giving love!

The young man that I had crush on for 14 months, this is the song that always reminded me of him and still does. I fell in love with him and told him how much I loved him. He said Ok. He never said I love you too. Or sometimes he said thats good, I drew our initials in the sand with a heart around it saying I made that for him. He said it was cool and I asked if he really meant it and he said he really did.
