There's SO MANY unbeleivable versions of 'O Holy Night' ... when I was making my new Christmas album, I asked myself "what can I possibly do with this song that hasn't already been done, to make it somewhat unique?" ... then I realized that there was no big version out there that was a DUET! Also, I'd never heard this song with 2 key changes ;) ....So I asked 2 of the best singers I know to come together, and they absolutely crushed it! So thankful for their willingness, and their gut-wrenching 100% passionate performance, which makes the song!! "O Holy Night" has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time... it's so beautiful; hope you enjoy this new rendition! ALSO, just got a new fan number so you can text me personally and get updates! +1 (615)-808-8156 ... I'll definitely be responding to some when I can! Hope to hear from you!

Thank you for putting this together! This song reminds me of my grandmother now passed. She used to ask me to read the Bible to her. She was illiterate. The only way she got Jesus in the script was if I read to her. She was staunch Hindu and so were the rest of my family, so I read to her in secret. She passed in 2019 fully giving her soul and life to Jesus just two years before at the age of 84. The rest of my family followed suit. God is good!

@@craigphillips494 when I listen to videos like these I imagine them less like performances and more like practices...for the Bible says that one day we all (everyone, everything that has breath) will bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father...and I picture this is how we will do it....
@lisaedgett87144 жыл бұрын
@@craigphillips494 i never used to be "religious" either until I started thinking a little more deeply about things.. ponder this for a bit... I'll break it down as quickly as i can...A simple cell has 239 protein molecules each containing 445 amino acids. In order for a protein to function, all 445 of them must be lined up in a single line in perfect, sequential order. For a single cell to spring to life, 445 amino acids have to accidentally line up perfectly in a specific order... not once, but 239 times, to form 29 proteins to make a living cell. This would have to happen in an alkaline environment, where amino acids don't normally thrive (the oceans) with 20 specific amino acids that don't float around randomly. The chance of producing any particular protein by a random process is infinitesimally small (approximately 1 in 20300, or 1 in 20 multiplied by itself 300 times). A number that large is hard to even comprehend. The chance of getting just the first 20 amino acids of a protein in a particular order is approximately 1 in 105,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (1.05x1026). It is unreasonable to think that a random process could have produced even a single functional protein, much less all those needed for life. Just as you wouldn't expect a three course meal to materialize by throwing their ingredients in a bowl and walking away.. even if you had every aspect of the initial explanation present.. having it snap into a "gourmet meal" by itself is another matter entirely. In the Journal of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Douglas Axe performed a mutagenesis experiment on a functionally significant 150-amino-acid section of a protein called betalactamase, an enzyme that confers antibiotic resistance upon bacteria. He created the ratio of the number of 150-amino-acid sequences that can perform that particular function to the whole set of possible amino acid sequences of this length and estimated the ratio to be 1 to 10⁷⁷. From this work he was able to ascertain that the odds of producing a functional protein sequence of modest length at random were similar to the odds of finding a single marked atom out of all the atoms in our galaxy via a blind and undirected search and calculated these odds are markedly better (by about a billion times) than those of finding a functional protein among all the sequences of corresponding length. Random interactions in a prebiotic soup would be this type of functional protein. The calculation can be made by multiplying the three independent probabilities to one another: the probability of incorporating only peptide bonds (1 in 10⁴⁵), the probability of incorporating only left-handed amino acids (1 in 10⁴⁵), and the probability of achieving correct amino acid sequencing using these estimates. 10⁴⁵+⁴⁵+⁷⁴.. the odds of getting even ONE functional protein of modest length by chance from a prebiotic soup is no better than 1 chance in 10¹⁶⁴...thats a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion times smaller than the odds of finding a single particle among all the particles in the universe. The odds of producing the proteins necessary to service a single cell organism by chance.. 1 in 10⁴⁰⁰⁰⁰ Thats the odds of creating the simplest cell there is. I haven't even gone into complex cells and multicellular organisms i.e. plants, animals and us which includes specific information in dna which tell each cell what it will be and do. Proteins can't function without dna and dna can't function without proteins, so each would have to be present at the same moment in a game of chance, for cells that would be driven from information that never existed before that moment i.e. blood, skin, heart, liver, kidneys, reproductive for male and female, brain.. which was first? And then how did nature know to fulfill the rest? And then, even if scientists could figure how these firsts happened they still have to come up with the answer for why these things all happened miraculously interdependent of one another ONE TIME, in the same instance and then never again.. there are thousands of questions they cant answer with science because they cant recreate or repeat what they claim.. they just have faith.. that everything we have around us just happened and we were just lucky that it seems tailor made for us. Believing in that is like believing you can win the state lottery for a million years (I didn't come up with that number myself.. Harold Morowitz, a yale university physicist did upon trying to come up with the odds of reassembling the building blocks of a bacteria after its complex chemicals were cooled after being broken down with intense heat.. the number he came up with was 1 in 10¹⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰). (Picture a 747 commercial airliner dropping red, white and blue confetti from 33000 feet and having it land in the shape of an American flag in your backyard.. the only thing time would do is make those paper pieces degrade and spread further apart). The Law of Thermodynamics is the thorn in the "origin by chance" arguments side.. order goes to disorder. This is a scientific law. We don't get perfection from chaos. Having better chances, of something so miraculous (no pun intended), come to fruition over time is as preposterous as believing it happened in the first place. They lump the origin argument under the entire evolution theory.. do animals with longer coats survive cold winters and in time eventually breed out those with shorter ones..yes.. but two long haired dogs will NEVER make a long haired cat.. thats a completely different code... an added body style from genetic information not present.. Deep down, you already knew that. The science behind origin calls for a scientific faith. If we assume that something intelligent was behind our origin story, then we also have to assume there are other innate qualities we possess, i.e. morality being one, that is part of the package... survival of the fittest doesn't make sense for all that we are abiding in for this illness.. giving up our inalienable rights to save a tiny fraction of the population falls right in line with diving into an icy lake to save a drowning dog or pushing a stroller out of the path of a crazed 80mph driver. Why would we care for that 1% otherwise? It doesnt benefit the strongest. Evolution is about survival of the fittest. I could probably make this into a book showing you how life doesn't make sense without God but then I'd never get to the part about Jesus.. who God became, to live a sinless life among us, and then went to the cross to pay for the punishment meant for us. While God is loving and holy, He is also perfect and just. He can't lie, and through Adam our blood has been sentenced through their choice. If you feel the generational guilt isn't fair.. consider this.. if we have a universal moral code, just as we have a scientific, genetic one.. then we must have a moral law maker and are accountable under the precepts He's written. Have you ever lied? Cheated? Been mean? Stolen something? Loved something more than Him? Looked at someone with lust? Then you're already guilty.. we all are. Romans 3:10 "...There is none righteous, no, not one;" You don't have to teach a child to lie or take another child's toy.. its innate. We could never live the sinless life that He did, and He knew that, so He came into our world and lived that sinless life for us and then faced the judgement ordered for us on our behalf that He didn't deserve. Thats why Jesus stated on the cross "It is finished." THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID! If you turn from your sins and ask Him to forgive you and be your Savior, He will forgive you and make you new. The forgiveness doesn't make you perfect and the point is, you never could be.. but He makes you WANT to be, and is there for you when you fail. I know this was kind of long but I just felt inclined to share that with you.. I remember looking at people like me ten years ago and attributing them to the "religious" paradigm too. Prince used to have that super hot girlfriend in purple rain named "Apollonia" and I remember reading an article about how she found God. I remember thinking that losing her celebrity status must have drove her mad.. until I experienced an awakening myself and it was through reading past the face value information they give you in school and push down your throat in culture. I could never not believe again.. Matthew 7:7 states "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you..." and the more i studied, the more I realized I had been bamboozled. The biggest trick the devil ever played was making people believe he didn't exist... and now, more than ever, is the time to realize that's the case. Death is inevitable for all of us but the second death is again a choice.. you either take the substitution thats been given in your place, Jesus Christ, or you pay for the sins you're guilty of yourself. Its the greatest gift mankind has ever been given on this day.. The chances of me seeing your post here and helping you see what the deeper side of this is about isnt an accident. I rarely look at the comment sections of Christmas music. Just sayin..

I'm not usually a fan of revisions of classics like O Holy Night: they generally lack the power, rhythm, and reverence owed to such works, all in the name of novelty. But this rendition is different: the care and passion is evident. Such care is warranted, not just for a classic, but for a hymn about God caring so much to enter a befouled world, to save man from his own error. To live the life we all should, to suffer and die as we deserve: the Lord became the servant; the Judge, the condemned; the Law-maker, the forgiver; the deity, the sacrifice.

[Verse 1: SVRCINA] O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of our dear Savior's birth Long lay the world in sin and error pining 'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night divine, O night, O night divine! [Verse 2: Tauren Wells] Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His Gospel is peace Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother And in His Name, all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we Let all within us praise His Holy Name Christ is the Lord; O praise His Name forever! His power and glory evermore proclaim His power and glory evermore proclaim [Hook: SVRCINA & Tauren Wells] Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night divine! O night divine
