I will admit, i was a bit skeptical when I clicked on this... O Holy Night is the Gold Standard in Christmas Songs. It truly captures the Blessed Meaning of Christmas. I have listened to hundreds of versions and I have come to the conclusion that there are two types. Artists that understand the meaning and understand that the song is not theirs or about them. And then we have the artists that feel the need to make the song all about them and their vocal "Tricks". These Two Young People Get it. They Truly gave this song all of the Respect it Demands. ​@@silothirteen How so? A bit on the whispery side, but she wouldn't be on that stage if she wasn't a top-notch singer. I think Tommee paired Svrcina there in the duet to balance the wailing grandeur of Tauren Wells on purpose. It's kind of like....her delivery is soft and gentle, and his vocals are so over-the-top energetic, so it's an interesting juxtaposition. Either way, it brings a tear to my eye every time I watch this. Merry Christmas!

Tommee, I will say it again, wow, just Wow! SVRCINA and Tauren Wells nail it. To say that I have listened to this EPIC version of Oh Holy Night at least 100 times since your concert posted online is an understatement. All others pale in comparison. I never truly “heard” the words of this song, nor understood how very divine that night really was for multiple reasons, till now. My 19-year-old son had tears in his eyes when I played it for him. I am so grateful that you pulled out this segment as it makes it easier for me to play for my church group this coming Christmas Eve service. Thank you for your genius and Merry Christmas!

The orchestration is very unique… starts in A major for the female, holds the C# note into transitioning for the male key F#, then it transitions into G minor for the final chorus so that both singers can really really belt it. Nicely done!
