I really dig the AIO plumbing being routed to the back instead of the usual routing over the RAM. It looks so much more clean. Too bad the tradeoff is no rear fan, maybe with a 240/280mm AIO it would allow for both.
@seabs4732 жыл бұрын
having it like that does negatively affect AIO performance tho
@Lazzmodai2 жыл бұрын
@@seabs473 How so? It's not changing the relative height of any piece of the unit. The only difference is a 180° rotation of the rad on the x axis.

YES: "I ran the side fans as exhaust because it looked nicer, but I recommend mounting the side fans as intakes. This will result in slightly better system thermals." -- Subdubbin The fan setup shown at 14:33 (side fans are exhaust) results in a negative-pressure case. Unrelated but also worth consideration: the air coming up through the front-most bottom fan and then immediately exiting through the bottom-most side fan. That bit of airflow does nothing for the system. Sometimes a negative-pressure case is desirable like with the TherrmalTake Tower 100. But useless airflow is never desirable.

All your fans are intake and you have no exhaust fan. This means that hot air can not displace properly and will recirculate causing higher temps and potentially thermal throttling. You can either point your side or bottom fans out.
@apusista3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely beautiful thanks 😊 Self-explanatory, even to me! I just bought this case. Where I live, there is a LOT of dust though, so I would have to put the radiator vertically where you've put 2 140s, with the tubes at the top. Not ideal but no choice really then intake at bottom, exhaust on top.
@Flyhigh4713 жыл бұрын
How does being in a more dusty place have an effect over wither to have the radiator on top or side ?
@apusista3 жыл бұрын
@@Flyhigh471 Dust settles on upward facing surfaces... and then wouldn't it be sucked in? So therefore, shouldn't top fans push air out?
@Flyhigh4713 жыл бұрын
@@apusista the build in this video using the top fans for the radiator in push configuration, so it wont suck the dust in, so you can do that. I just don't get why he opted to have five exhaust fans and only three intake fans, seems unoptimized to me.
@apusista3 жыл бұрын
Broken Cypher : Yes, especially in a cool climate, more intake would be better. Here in India, more intake is not a good idea! 3 x 120 is good here. But you're dead right, push fans on top would be abs fine. I just realised my old pc has exactly that!
@manspeej3 жыл бұрын
Instead of doing 5 exhaust and 3 intake like he did in the video try flipping the 2 fans on the side to intake so that you have 5 intake and 3 exhaust, if you have more exhaust than intake there'll be more dust inside the case

It's a fantastic looking PC. It could be one of those up market boutique builds! This question isn't criticism, but what is the thought behind your fan config? The 3 intakes at the bottom, and 3 exhausting at the top make perfect sense. The two fans beside the motherboard tray are also exhausting air out of the side panel. Wouldn't they serve better if mounted to take air in on the front of the case? I do understand they wouldn't have the same visual impact on the front as they do where you have them. But if that i9 starts to throttle moving them to the front may be a necessity.
@Subdubbin3 жыл бұрын
