Loving it all but especially how the guitar rhythm supports the more melodic instruments.

Yes I play Cape Breton style fiddle music.Born and raised in Newfoundland. In saying that pretty much half my repertoire is Irish. I've been to Dublin, Nenagh, Limeric, Killarney and Cork. I took in sessions everywher except Dublin. The Irish are the best session players on the planet. Clare County is a priority if I cross again. @@onlineacademyofirishmusic the Irish trad is just so uplifting and has always, since being a teen and having heard a penny whistle, a bodhran and a harp play together for the first time, touched me deeply. Everytime I hear a good reel or jig it fills my heart with joy even though I might be in dark places mentally. The Irish music has a certain magic to it, blissful excitement and heartwarming tunes. Since there are not many occasions in Germany to listen to live sessions as professional as yours, it really is a blessing you share your culture and skills. After all, Feakle is just too far away from Kiel ;) Thanks a million!

Hi Kiel, Glad to hear you love Irish music as much as we do. Do you play?
@dorisdmwdaddelt95285 жыл бұрын
@@onlineacademyofirishmusic hmm... playing acoustic guitar (self taught) and singing a lot of Cranberries songs for the last two decades but mostly in private... once I stepped in at Kiel Weeks Pub on the International Market, cause the bard had to put on a new string. Found myself vocalising the foggy dew and Here's a Health 😂 t'was fun but only possible with a pint in my hand. Over the last 10yrs tried out the Penny Whistle, but since I learned it by listening to CDs it's not a good breathing technique. My dream is to one day play the Irish Flute, but it looks very difficult. 19yrs ago, I wanted to start out with the bodhran, went to a shop in Temple Bar. I made the wrong choice by first listening to the sound, then looking on the price... So I could only afford the 75£ one, not the one my ears chose which had a double layer of skin and was around 2.800£ 🙈 Just to have one, I bought the cheaper but actually it never made me want to play... My ears cannot forget the full, deep sound of the professional instrument. It's a shame but my lil bhodran has since become a memorabilia. As a single mom and social worker my finances are not really fitting my musical goals: Irish Flute, bodhran, drums, piano and blues guitar... So there's a lot to learn once my Lil1 is grown up. And meanwhile I am closely watching your tutorials and enjoying the sessions. So much bliss in your music 🙏
