For anyone who wants to know: what the anchorman referred to as "spicy phở" is a dish called Bún Bò Huế - a spicy soup dish that hails from the central Vietnamese city of Huế.

Asian food is the best food by far. I am a white woman who lives in Oakland and I love making Asian food at home and basically only eat at Asian restaurants when I go out. Love the AAPI community! Happy to see this local restaurant highlighting this delicious dish on ABC.

Don't forget the type of noodle - needs to be an Asian egg noodle, not an Italian noodle :)
@faithnelson60693 жыл бұрын
do you think that this is the type i find at the Japanese market in their fridge? they look the same, maybe a tad thinner.
@elrpeters3 жыл бұрын
@@faithnelson6069 I'm not Asian (or specifically Vietnamese), so I can't really comment on the specific type of noodles that well. But if the noodles you choose are kind of yellow in color, its probably an egg noodle and it will at least be close. Definitely try it out. I think Chinese egg noodle would probably be best, if you can get it. My experience is just from eating the garlic noodles :P
