Oakwood Theme Park Vlog August 2016

Join us as we visit Oakwood Theme Park located in Pembrokeshire, Wales for our annual visit with the European Coaster Club! We take you along for the ride on all of our favourite attractions at the park, along with taking a closer look at the new development set to open later in 2016. We also enjoy 3 extra ride sessions, get covered in UV paint and have our annual tent erecting competition, plus much more!

This park is criminally underrated, the woodie is one of the best in the world still, the park is very good for families and has some of the best water rides out there imo. It just lacks operations, theming and s couple of decent dark rides

Me and my friend visited oakwood earlier this year and like you we had to wait all day until megaphobia finally opened at 5 o clock. I also went on vertigo for the first time and absolutely loved it . I found the ride operators were very friendly and you could have a lot of banter with them .

Headache the ride? Pretty sure that pinfari will take that title from speed. Pretty much all the coasters from M&Ds are rough would rather they saved any of the Schwarzkopfs that have been sitting around. However as bad it was, it was at my local park and I hope Oakwood do give Space some TLC.

Another good vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to future vlogs. While in Wales and Caitlyn's home town or city. Did you all visit her while visiting Oakwood? Do you all if visiting nearby friends home towns/cities visit each others homes especially those you don't see very often? Because I can imagine you all doing this, having a catchup about how life is going etc. But just wondering if this is something you all do? Either sometimes and when your nearby someone's house & they haven't appeared in videos for a long time due to other commitments in their lives? Instead of just meet ups in theme parks and attractions etc? Especially as on meet ups your all comical, look like a good group of people. All have long friendships that look like they will last a lifetime, saying this because its facts, not fiction. Love all your humour and please don't change, please redo more meet ups like this again in future a.k.a crossovers with TPW members. Really do love yourself & Charlotte in videos, but think the crew with you both make it extra special. You both have your own humour, but I still think you all come as a crew & package & if one is missing. Its not the same, so as a fan of this channel. Would love to see more meet ups like this in future, but if doesn't happen? Then thank you for uploading these videos & adventures. Look like they were fun times, so thank you TPW / Theme Park Worldwide for showing all your adventures, thank you for being one of my inspirations to create my own content on my own channel. Hi Shawn! Have you ever been to Woodlands in Devon? It is full of those vertical drop slides as well as a few rides and has one of those taboggan rides, i used to love visiting there when i was a kid :)

I've been on a 50 foot drop slide at twinlakes park ( more known for hosting the amazing xtreme scream park ) and you have no mat and there is a wooden ledge before you drop, it is scarier than most coasters 😂

Great vlog Shawn as always! I've noticed though recently that at about 15 minutes into your vlogs that the audio messes up. Only if your wearing earphones because the sound is louder in one ear then the other. It's not by earphones because it doesn't do it to any other videos. Probably something up with the camera. Out of the 3 years that I've been watching this channel this year has been the best!😃Are you still visiting Mirabilandia and Kolmarden this year?

I know that you are not a big fan of Gerstlauers. As I told you last Wednesday that Der Schwur des Kärnan (The oath of Karnan) at Hansa Park is a very good and unique Coaster, there are a few more very good Gerstlauer Coasters in Germany and all over Europe. Fluch von Novgorod (The Curse of Novgord), also at Hansa Park, is a very good one. Karacho at Tripsdrill is very good, too. And you know Anubis at Plopsaland is another good one. I think Gerstlauer is on a very good way to play a bigger role in the Themepark Industry.

I did the vertical slide at the Crocky Trail Shawn, don't do it. It's like 40/50ft high and when I came down it I almost broke my back because it was that painful and dangerous 😂 I too, like yourself stay clear from those things xx

Most parks in the UK actually knows about Shawn hence why he also from time to time gets leftover parts from the parks. Other than that he usually sends an e-mail to the park asking for permission to film.

I've done vertical slide in Cornwall's crealy and it was called Devils drop and there was 2 drop sections it had a 30ft drop and a 50ft drop and I went on the 50ft one and it was the scariest thing I've ever done because I wasn't actually touching the slide I just fell

I have ridden both speed and saw, and i much prefer Saw due to its theming and intensity. Yes, it can be rough but the layout trumps the roughness

I think the layout of Speed is much better personally. There's never a dry moment, it's so so consistently forceful, while still being a fairly long ride (and not being quite as rough as Saw I think). However, Saw is definitely great because of the theming which is amazing!

Funnily enough, Megafobia was my very first thrill roller coaster. My only problem is that to me. The ride was too jolty most on the first drop and the up-down bits. Overall, It's a good ride!
