During a port of call in Labadee, Haiti, on December 14, a guest from the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship fell off the pier. Thankfully, his fellow passengers, the ship’s deck crew, and security staff managed to come to the rescue.

I saw the aftermath from deck 16. I believe this was the gentleman whose scooter/wheelchair ended up in the water with him on it. We've never heard so many ALFA! ALFA! ALFA! calls on any of the cruises we've been on. I think there were nine or ten.

The emergency call for a person overboard is the letter "O" so the call will be OSCAR! OSCAR! OSCAR! followed by which side of the ship. At 00:45 you can hear the emergency page OSCAR! OSCAR! OSCAR! starboard side.

If his scooter was out of control then I completely understand. However, the majority of cruises I've been on there are always a few people/kids that want to walk past the yellow line to look at a ships waterline.It's a boat next to a Pier with bouys wedged in to protect the ship. That's ALL!! Why are people sooo infatuated with crossing the yellow line just to look at that?!?! Ignorant people
