If you ever make that journey, just know that the pain you feel everyday, will be split between the people that love you when your gone. Sounds fair hey? Until you realise that people don't have the capacity to hold the pain that you do, and you Will so easily break the people you love the most, without realising that you're going to do it. Please don't, talk to one of them let them know how you feel. They would rather cry with you than over you. Believe me please.

*Translation of this song* - He & Liam were touring the States with Oasis when Liam *used his last chance once again* in throwing a tambourine at Noel I think. The *"chewing on a bone"* was him thinking about his future with his brother & the band. *Something hit me right between the eyes* - He realised the *Oasis* project was finished. *Sleeping on a plane* - He just jumped on a plane down to Miami. The rest of it is about how he met a bird down there & she took care of him.

@base330films96 жыл бұрын
Erm...he wrote it in America, right after a woman he met on tour, Melissa Lim, talked him out of quitting the band after an argument with Liam in which he was really quite hurt internally. He was kinda losing it at that point, and she kept him from going over the edge. It's nothing to do with meth/coke, John. So please don't try to say drugs led to a very meaningful song, which really represents a major point in Noel's life.

I swear The Masterplan is their 3rd best album- it's up there. This song is beautifully painful to listen to Noel at his most raw and emotional. If you know the story of it- Noel temporarily quit the group after a drug-addled disaster of a ahow in LA, flew up to San Fran to find respite in a woman he had just met a few nights before. She took him in and showed him that it was gonna be worth it, that he should keep going. They disappeared from each others' lives, but don't we all have "that one" person who picked us up at our lowest and helped us fly again, before vanishing in the night?

I remember being at me mates one night around 2004, he lived in a hostel and his room was massive. There was about 20 of us in there, we was getting on it and this came on. Everyone was singing it at the top of their voices, and everyone knew the words. I've always been a massive Oasis fan but it was at that moment I realised how generational Oasis are. I was 10 when definitely maybe came out and everyone I know that's my age or thereabouts absolutely love Oasis. Even their B sides were sublime. The Beatles of the nineties.

Visiting after watching "supersonic". I was a young teenager at the height of Oasis. Seen the widespread social effect they had. They were fairly innocent times. Kind of polarising against the dance/rave scene that was also massive and that I began to be involved with. But also always had an Oasis album to listen too. Going to the record store and buying definitely maybe and it felt as if you were part of it. The song writing/ melody ability only comes around once in a generation. Glad I grew up understanding it.

Buying original records in Eastern Europe in the 90s was pretty much impossible. First of all, original records were only available in certain shops and second, you couldn't even afford it. So eastern europe was a pirate records paradise 😂 I remember that it was in April when I got my hands on the fake copy of The Masterplan. The harsh winter was going away and the sun was warming up the earth. I was wearing my new denim jacket as I wandered into the shop and I saw it. I had only heard outtakes of certain songs on MTV. I was so excited. I ran home and I put it on. Oh it was heaven! Talk Tonight was immediately my favourite, along with The Masterplan and Going Nowhere. I played it for days...on and on, before school, after school. Heavenly, magical music. Beautiful times, beautiful life. Pure happiness, innocence and enjoyment. I'm still trying to rekindle those feelings from those distant times 😢. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't... but the music is always with me and gives me hope for better days! I'm thankful that I was alive when the best band in the world was in their prime

This song is the song that got me into singing and helped me overcome the insecurities I had about my singing voice.

This song saved my life so many times. I found this song in the attic of a flat i moved into in 1999 on a cassette....instantly connected with this and Half the world away. Then became best friends with the girl who left them in the attic before me. I have only just realised that they were left to save my life....literally. Shes the first to read a book i have written about my life so her opinion is going to be monumental but after all these years and psychic stuff i have had its just dawned on me, that she was meant to leave me those tapes in the attic so i could begin to heal.we have been connected for years, before we even met.
