I did it! I combined 2 videos into 1! I'm so excited that I can do this and add effects and text too!! Hopefully my videos will have better content because I won't be rushed to get it all down in one sitting.
I'm just getting used to the video editor, I tried a couple different things with it on this one but hopefully will be able to make much better videos from now on!
I only use Mad Micas colors in my creations. To purchase, please go to the link below. I do receive a small commission when you make a purchase at no additional cost to you! Thank you so much!!

I do the same with the oats. When I make oatmilk soap, I'll add the ground oats I used to make the milk at the beginning of the cook if I want a smooth bar or all add the oats at the end for a mild exfoliation.

When you are a soap maker you always have soap on everything🤣 I started buying my Oatmeal powder because my Grinder doesn't grind it fine enough for my lotion. But I do like to grind my Oatmeal for my soap still

I notice you didn't add your SF after the cook, nor something to loosen it up like yogurt or sodium lactate. Just beginning my HP journey and curious if it makes any difference.

It does make a difference! I masterbatch my oils in very large oil heaters and my super fat is already built into my recipe. So if you're making just a single batch, adding your super fat at the end is the way to do it! Also, mixing my color in a bit of oil is also adding a little super fat. I just don't use 1 specific oil to do it. Same goes for sodium lactate and yogurt. I don't like using yogurt (just my personal preference, nothing wrong with adding it) but I do use sodium lactate sometimes. I add that to my lye water though. Thank you for reminding me to talk about those things in my next hp video! 😁👍 I appreciate your questions!

Your honey is discoloring in bits and pieces because you haven’t diluted honey enough with distilled water. You should loosen up more and add more distilled water so it can blend in better. FO should be added below 160f…it just evaporated into the air it’s so hot bubbling up. You use a lot of hard oil in your recipe? Mine looks very loose after cooking and I only cook for 20 min tops. I never stir till the end and it becomes translucent. I add yogurt though and that adds very nice lather and mildness as it turns to humectant (sodium lactate) after a while and soap is milder, and protein of yogurt adds to the lather and mildness too.

This is ao beautiful! Thanks! One question, when you add Titanium Dioxide to your lye water.. do you just add the powder straight to the lye water or mix it separate with water and then to the lye water? I know it's a silly questions but I never done it like that and I'm curious to know. Thanks😊

I've done it both ways but like it best when I dissolve it in a bit of water first.

please keep teaching us!! where can I get the soap molds and cutters you use??

Essential Depot has the soap molds. You can just Google the cutter as I don't think the guy who made mine makes them anymore.

What is a good wattage for the hand blender so it can mix well?
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks 6 ай бұрын
Any immersion blender will work as long as the shaft is stainless steel and not plastic or aluminum. I have several different ones and they all do the job.

How do you see when the soap has gelled. Do you test PH? What is the optimal PH for HP soap?
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks 5 ай бұрын
You can see through the wrap on top, the soap will change color, almost clear like a gel instead of that solid color. I don't test bar soap for ph, I've only ever tested my liquid soap ph. Most bar soaps are about 9 ph. I've only taste tested my bar soaps! 😁👍

Hi I’m very new here to soap making, watching lots of videos. Could you please tell me what oils you use. I’m lucky enough to be given raw honey so I’d love to use it in a soap. With thanks

Hi, sorry, I don't give out my recipe. But you can use pretty much any kind of oils or butters in your soap. Go to soap calc.net and check out what they have listed. Happy soaping!!

so I have seen you put the titanium dioxide here in the lye mixture but on another video you put it in the oil/milk mixture BEFORE adding the lye...what makes the difference in coloring when doing it (either way) or is there a difference...thanks!

Several things, I actually prefer it after the cook so that it's whiter, but sometimes you get speckles that way. If you put it in the oil and mix it really well, you don't get the speckles but it's not as bright white. Same with the lye water. So it's really just personal preference on how you like it to look.

Hello, so to discount the water for the goat milk; do you just take out some of the amount that would be needed for the lye. So for instance, if you need 27 ounces of water for the recipe, you can use 20 ounces for the lye water solution and 7 ounces of goat milk inside of the oils?
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks 8 ай бұрын
Yes, as long as you have enough water to dissolve the lye then you can replace it with goat milk directly into your oils. But I never do full amounts of water and goat milk, it's still discounted from my recipe.

Adding your fragrance while it’s still hot won’t make the scent dissipate? 🤔
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks
@ForeverCleanSoapWorks 3 жыл бұрын
Only a tiny bit. If you wait until it cools, you''ll be struggling to stir it and put it in the mold. A small amount dissipating is a whole lot easier than ruining a whole batch of soap because you can't get the fragrance stirred in completely or you can't get it in the mold smoothly! My hot process soap smells better and stronger than my cold process. So I'm not losing much fragrance! If you feel you may be losing too much compensate by adding a bit more, but I've never had that problem in all the years I've been doing it.
