I've only been to Oaxaca once but the highlights were definitely the tour of the ex-convento de Santo Domino, the Tule tree and the Mixtec ruins of Monte Alban.

I visited Oaxaca twice in 2000. I really liked the city then. The Zócalo Square was great then. There were none of those vendors there at that time and you could sit in one of those restaurants in the buildings surrounding the plaza and just look at its beauty and the people walking there. At night it was a great, lively place. I also visited Monte Albán, which has a great views of that Oaxaca Valley and went to Mitla and, of course, the Tule tree. You could take pictures and hug the tree, well try to, because it's huge. There were tourists from Europe and everywhere else. The streets were full of people then, day and night in the city of Oaxaca. The pedestrian street, also called the Andador Turístico, was so full at night you could hardly walk. It was a great experience and I really liked the city's well preserved architecture, including its many churches.

That reaction to Mezcal was hilarious! I'm NOT a tequila drinker. It all tastes like liquid propane to me. LOL. But margaritas are fine! And I LOVE Mexico!

I love this video, you guys! Especially the nighttime clip! The ladies! Traditionally dressed, So pretty. The very first time I experienced in VR coaster in Guadalajara. Yes! Everyone in the roller coaster wearing VR for the entire ride. If you haven’t done that yet, it’s a must! PS: please film it if you go 😁

As long as the traffic isn't too thick and, of course, it's not rainy, biking is always the best way to get to know an area. Loved the colors. Even on rainy days, it looked vibrant.

I really enjoy seeing you guys enjoying Mexico. I forgot to recommend NOT missing Montealban. Ruins not as pretty as those in Yucatan but the setting on top of a hill in the middle of a valley is spectacular! It’s a must when you go back.

I needed something happy and vibrant to have in the background while I work. Something wholesome (unlike my music playlists). While I hang on every word of your new videos I love having all you f your positivity with me during the work day. (As David says Covid has ruined everything and Travis looks a little sad that the fence is boarded up. 😂)

The cow that took the bridge was obviously the wisest one :D Oh what a disappointment to go all that way and not be able to enter. Hope the mosquitoes aren't too bad with all that rain. Long sleeves, a beautiful reprieve from the oppressive Merida heat. "We drop a new video? We're JZ?" Travis, you make me laugh every time! David, I don't like mezcal or tequila either, but also think mezcal is the lesser of the two evils. Did you celebrate El Grito last night? - Anne

I've had several people tell me Oaxaca would be my vibe especially due to the arts. I'm not looking for that much rainy season though. Just a visit at one point. I'll be wandering from CDMX to San Miguel next month and then onto Merida to visit friends after that. Great video.

I was just watching a news story that said they were wrapping a fire resistant blanket around the worlds largest tree, General Sherman in California to try and save it from the forest fires. I think there may be many worlds largest trees.

Was this filmed in May? Rain is better than 100 plus degrees in Merida. Oaxaca would suit me better than Guadalajara due to the ease of renting a bicycle from a store. But bummer that Covid has so much closed! Did you guys find decent vegan food in Oaxaca or was it more of a challenge? Meanwhile, did you know that Guadalajara has a Vegan Festival in the spring...you moving there, tee hee?
