Fav band.💚🤘💚🤘 got me through some rough times in the past 12 years. I once told them (on Instagram, lol) that "if Beethoven, Bach & Holst were metalheads, they'd listen to Be'lakor." 😂💚 Every time I start to list off song recs of them, well, I just want to list so many, I just say, go ahead, pick one at random. 😅🤷‍♀️

And that's Be'lakor, a Aussie band that since i know them they are my favorite band, surpassing Opeth and Tool, this album is a mix from all their early albums but with a better quality production. If you want more of a heavy sound "Locus" or "Abeyance" are the best ones, if you want a more epic sound then "From Scythe to Scepter" or "Countless Skies" can provide you this mood, and if you want a more proggy sound then "An Ember's Arc" or "The Smoke of Many Fires" can take you to a journey.

Agree with the other recommendations of An Embers Arc. Also from Melbourne Ne Obliviscaris any song will do but there kick show opener Devour me Collosus is a great start

@@OBDaveReacts I never queue up Opeth's newer albums like I will their older stuff, but musically, they are still master class. It's just something that I don't gravitate as much towards. If you haven't yet heard it, I can however strongly recommend All Things Will Pass, being the closer on their most recent album.

I'd be surprised if people haven't mentioned Ne Obliviscaris in the comments. 6 piece extreme progressive melodic death metal with violin and 2 singers. Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live in Colorado is the most popular but give Devour Me Colossus

Be'lakor is insanely good. Everyone blows Of Breath and Bone & Stone's Reach (admittedly my favorite album of theirs). Don't get me wrong, both are perfect albums. But it shouldn't be with a disdain for the others.. I think all their albums are amazing. They worked their way into being my favorite band. FFS every time I hear Countless Skies, among several other songs, even after a hundred listens, it just blows my mind that anyone could be that talented at every aspect of making music. They seriously remind me of early Opeth, especially with their immaculate transitions, elements, and story telling. Even with the comparison, they can easily set themselves apart from them as well. A ten minute song can feel like 3 minutes and wanting to hear it more. Any track rarely, if ever, overstays its welcome.

Love the reaction of a 10/10 song! They are australian. And are huge fans of Opeths so the lyrics might indeed be influenced by that. Held in Hollows is my all time favorite from them. But to be honest they dont have a single bad song!

Great reaction man, be’lakor is so fuckin awesome, their last 4 albums are so damn good, every track is pretty much great to amazing on all those albums. Hope to see you react to more of their stuff in the future, can’t go wrong with any of it
