When you search for their older stuff, you will notice that they don't usually have music videos. The reason behind it is that they are extraordinary storytellers. Lyrics of their songs play a huge role in shaping their music, so you will often find lyric videos. But still, awesome musicianship, awesome band. I could recommend these: Countless Skies From Scythe to Sceptre Venator Whelm Roots to Sever The Smoke of Many Fires Remnants

Their songs never get old either. I can still put on songs from Stone's Reach or Frail Tide and sit through them and enjoy them fully, even though I first heard them back in high school a decade ago and used to play their albums over and over, week after week, month after month. Some of my favs from them are "Fraught" (There are some cool piano covers of this one), "By Moon and Star", "Sun's Delusion", "Withering Strands", "The Smoke of Many Fires", and "Abeyance". They have their own distinctive style within MeloDeath. There are some live vids of some of their songs if you want to check out their gear, though the ones I saw were at a festival and may just be backline stuff shared across the bands.

When I first listened to this record i really gravitated towards Must More is Lost and Valence. But Hidden Window is by far my favorite song on the record. The more I listen to the record the more I find I like about each song. Each song is so unique and intricate that listening to it once is not enough and it’s totally not one of those records where you say we’ll it’s ok I’ll just keep listening to it and it gets better over time. It’s better now and we just don’t realize it listening to it once. Amazing record. Amazing band

Finally, Be'lakor! Thanks for your reaction video. I've been a metalhead for a long time but man, Be'lakor has stayed at the top of my list since I found them like 6-7 years ago. I don't think they have a bad song. Please do check out their older pieces as well. They may be a little more "traditional" but you can hear their creativity there as well. They're not known for their technical virtuosity but man can they write music.. and lyrics. So many great riffs, beautiful melodies, haunting harmonies and great stories.

Checking again this reaction, these guys are the best band, they did it, took the spot from Tool as my favorite one, i think you should check "Countless Skies" from their second album (Stone's Reach - 2009) or "The Smoke of Many Fires" from their last-but-one album (Vessels - 2016), both are outstanding and the last song from their respective albums, but any song from them, aside from the first album, are amazing.

Speaking of melodeath, Bloodred Hourglass also just released new music video few days ago. That video was again made by Riivata Visuals and dunno if somebody already mentioned it but guys behind Riivata also have a band of their own called Atlas. You could call their music metalcore but they dub it northcore, as it has certain nordic touch, like mixed english/finnish vocals. If you want to check them out, they released new video 'Ukko' last june.

This is the song that embodies the old and new Be'lakor for me. I'd recommend Neither Shape nor Shadow from their debut album, the bloody masterpiece of a song E: on ther other hand, f' that, you should listen to everything, this band is just amazing

I found them out also from a reaction channel! This band is amazing and sooo under the radar. The Smoke of Many Fires is just amazing. Venator is also great.

So glad you liked them! And the same thumbnail was on your suggested views as last time that I had mentioned Be'lakor in a comment on your channel, the Smoke of Many Fires! That's another great one to jump into, that song infected my mind for a month. Cheers mang, you're killin' it on here!

Yes! Be'lakor our Skandinavian cousin outside Skandinavia. Just brilliant melodeath. Dark Tranquility with Australian twist.

Glad to see you discovering these guys. Be'lakor are right near the top for me with Insomnium. Their transitions are masterful enough I kinda think of them as the Tool of melodeath.

Glad you finally got around to this band. My biggest recommendation would be to sit down and listing through a full album to really experience what this band can offer. They are masters of atmosphere and storytelling. If I had to choose one album to start with "Of Breath and Bone" is a great starting place. As for songs to listen to here's some suggestions, Abeyance Countless Skies Whelm Remnants The Smoke of Many Fires Enjoy!
