Obedska Bara // RECUMBENT TRIKE RIDE | Family Cycling Vlog | Steintrikes Wild One

In this recumbent trike vlog, we take you to Obedska bara, a natural reserve area in Vojvodina, Serbia. We ride our Steintrikes Wild One trikes and a Croozer Kid for 2 trailer, a special addition is a BTWIN kids bike. In this family cycling vlog, you can see some beautiful scenes from Obedska bara, a swamp and forest area with diverse wildlife, and we also visited the ruins of a medieval fortress called Kupinik.

Really interesting video as always. The way you use a bungee to tow the bike is clever and allows a safe introduction to public roads A shame about the litter though, it is a big problem in the UK as well and I often find old drink cans and other waste just thrown and left which makes me quite angry as it spoils the place the people came to see, I don't understand it either The Fort looks great and an interesting history Enjoy the rest of spring/summer 😊😊

Thank you for the comment! For the bungee - towing system, actually there are some better tow rope systems for kids, that automatically retract or extend as needed, but here in Serbia we haven't found a way to get those. The bungee will do for now, but we have to be extra careful when stopping, that it doesn't get into the wheel. What is good about it is that it can easily and quickly be attached and detached when we want. As for the litter - we are very angry about it.. I think it's just a general "I don't care" attitude, people don't even think about what is going to happen after they leave the place.

Thank you again adventurous familiy for putting all this effort into making these nice videos. It was a big relieve for me watching it friday evening after a very stressful day. It still amazes me that you have such a good sound quality on your videos. Nice to see the upgraded roofrack in full action and the clever use of the bungee cord :-) Don't you worry leaving the trikes unguarded (like when you did the boat trip) that somebody would steal them or damage them. I know the Steintrikes have good suspension for offroad, but what about the trailer for the kids? Do they also have a comfortable ride? And for me David is the hero of the day cycling 20km on his own little bike. Big thumbs up. See you in the next video on a new adventure!

Thank you so much! We are also very proud of David, for us he is still so small, but becoming a real cyclist 😊 The trailer that we use is made by Croozer, a German manufacturer, who makes really high-quality, secure, and comfortable trailers (in our opinion they are among the best). Ours is an older model which doesn't have a special suspension system, but the seats are like a type of hammock, which should be very comfortable. Of course, we cannot try it ourselves to see how it feels, but the kids have been happy with the ride so far. Newer models of the trailer have very good suspension systems (always better and better of course), but our kids have almost outgrown the trailer age so we will stick to this one. As for stealing/damaging issues - we are always worried about that. We do lock the trikes when we leave them unattended (we use ABUS chain locks which have served us well over the years), and we prefer to leave them in a visible place, where there are people around, so if someone would come to cut the chain or do something suspicious around them, people would hopefully react. In addition, the trikes are so rare here, that I think the thieves don't find much value in stealing them, it would be hard to resell without getting caught.
