Hey buddy! Great demo! Have 2 SEMs. Pro + patch panel with polyend poly. + an OBERHEIM OBX-8.Need to use them… Prince’s fanatic here was thinking about building up a 4 voices( will need to fin 2 more SEM’s then…) or just keeping the pro , selling the patch panel and I will buy an emax keyboard + a mirage Ensoniq sampler. What do you think?!

My only logical conclusions from watching demos of Oberheims are that they are either noisy AF or people leave their microphones on.

Nope, it’s noisy because it’s recorded thru a noisy mixers headphone socket straigth into the mic input on the camera ❤️

Hey there i wanted to ask a bit of a technical question about the module if you please. When you turn the filter cutoff completly hard left does the filter completly close, it sounded as if it did'nt ??.

if anyone could please help me, my SEM Pro came today and i’ve never had a synth with patch points and i kind of went crazy and used every output to go to different inputs with no logic behind it.. i know it was dumb... anyway i know the oscillators are more out of tune now for sure, but did i possibly damage anything else about the sound ?

@@AsteroidKiller LOL ....probably a better idea, cause all I see on KZbin is people randomly twisting knobs and making silly sounds. I was looking to see what music is made from it. One suggested listening to Silver Apples Of The Moon. I did, it sounded crap. Just a lot of weird noises. Its mind boggling to think they make expensive gadgets just to make weird noises.

Is it possible to get 6 of these guys and use my prophet 6 as a controller and have a 6 voice polyphonic SEM ? Will I have to use an additional piece to round robin the voices ?

pid cin I’m quite sure you need some midi inteface of some kind to split the signal to the different SEM modules.

@@synthdude7664 A 6 voice SEM chain would be off the hook. Check out the Endorphin.es Shuttle control or other euro Midi>CV modules then feed your prophet into that, patch up and have a blast!

pid cin it can be done I built a 4 voice but it requires some eurorack modules, a mixer etc... but its a lot of work making a patch though since you need to dial all 4 to the same settings.
