So many things about this trailer. Kid Luke doing pilot moves like his father used to pilot. The Grand Inquisitor from Rebels in live action with other Inquisitors. Joel Edgerton coming back as Uncle Owen when he was a lesser known actor when he first did it as a bit part in AOTC and ROTS. Ewan Freaking McGregor's Obi-Wan. Freaking yes! I find it really endearing when reactors get teary eyed/cry over things that are genuinely emotional. Like remember how hard Adam cried during Squid Game? If they didn’t cry at moments like that or at the end of Mando s2 I’d think they were weird. A trailer for a long awaited and anticipated series is as good a reason to tear up as any.

@@MadSlantedPowers All of the Inquisitors were killed off by the events of Season 2 of Rebels. Maul killed Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother, Kanan kills (breaks the saber hilt) of Eighth Brother. Grand Inquisitor dies fighting Kanan and Ezra. Ahsoka confronted and defeated an Inquisitor in the early years after Order 66 and purified their kyber crystals which is how she gets her white sabers. Cal Kestis fought the Second Sister (who dies to Vader by the end) and he defeated the Ninth Sister and cut off her hand (she survives but might return in the upcoming sequel game) and in the Vader comics, there were two other inquisitors who got killed off.

What really stands out to me in this trailer is that I think this is really only the second time in this history of Star Wars, that something from the prequels (and I don’t mean rebels or clone wars or any of the video games, novels and comics. I’m speaking only within the context of the live action movies) managed to merge with something that was wholly created by Disney. The idea that here is Obi-Wan Kenobi and he is about to have this head on collision with the Sith Inquisitors seems holy unique. Outside of Bail Organa’s appearance in Rogue One, this is uncharted territory for Star Wars. We haven’t seen this kind of Hegemony yet.

People need to start understanding that Star Wars is modern mythology in cinematic format, which - as you guys pointed out in your "The Jedi" reaction - was a mythology sullied by the cheap retreading the sequels were peddling. Favreau and Filoni are adding new scrolls to the Mythos with the same care and attention that Lucas originally imbued them with and that we as fans have come to regard so highly (despite many flaws). They're great generational stories, and are being updated with love, care and attention to detail. Its really that simple. Great reaction lads, keep it up!

I feel I have to make an apology. As a Star Wars fan for the last 43 years I've been living with my 1st impression of uncle Owen ... of being a dicc. But now I see him as a simple man, making his way, farming for existence, and Obi-Wan drops this awesome responsibility on him ... and he took it on. He KNEW, this would bring trouble to his family and doorstep. No wonder he bad mouthed old Ben to young Luke with whom he had most probably bonded with as he grew into an adult. FUCK! That responsibility got him and his wife killed. He KNEW! I'm sorry Owen R.I.P.

One of the biggest things that bugged me about the prequels was the contrast of the difference between how they looked vs how the original trilogy looked. They used to not feel like they were the same universe, and even though Rogue One and Solo, as well as getting more familiar with Clone Wars and how elements from that have been in Mandalorian and Boba Fett... has gone a long way to helping tie the prequels into the style of this new content that matches the style of the original trilogy more closely. But now this... THIS feels like a real mid-point between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope! Aside from Temeura Morrison (as well as Anthony Daniels as 3PO and Ian MacDiarmid as Palpy in the sequels), we haven't seen any of the major prequel cast show up in any new content yet. We got the OG trilogy cast in the sequels, and Luke in Mando & Fett, but we haven't seen any prequel cast in anything since the prequels. So seeing Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan in something that looks more like the original trilogy, while still showing what looks like Coruscant and other prequel-ish stuff, knowing Christensen is returning as Anakin/Vader, while also seeing a young Luke on Tatooine, and doing it all in a more practical, filmic style that feels almost halfway between the digital look of the prequels and the old-style filmic look of the originals... it just does so much to help tie the prequels and the original trilogy together, IMO. And makes it all feel modern as well, because this is some of the best state of the art filmmaking technology going into these series, all to approximate the style of the oldest installments of the franchise. It's all kinda crazy how much of a complex blend of new and old this Star Wars stuff has become. lol
