This game is so weird. It's like a playable Expandables, came out of nowhere and I still don't really understand how the devs got all these guys to play a role in it. But hey, it doesn't look too bad, and "not too bad" is something we don't get all too often on this channel :P

tv show villain groups would be a fun version of this game, mash up whoever, joker from batman, team rocket, the foot clan, so some missions its just regular turf war, sometimes its 6 guys with machine guns fighting a comical pie throwing robot for turf, fail your mission and police come, do things that are too wacky and super heroes show up.

I think a big part of this games success was how hard Payday 3 flopped. I heard nothing about this game except "It's what Payday 3 should have been" and talk of how many celebs were in it.

I enjoyed this game for 25 hours or so (was in the Humble Bundle monthly). I might go back and finish the big heists (MP is easier since you basically just do the final bit), the end of that gold one is a run across the golf course you got ambushed by the police (which apparently is next to the vault!). The "lose on Baker dying" has killed a lot of my runs I'd admit, and it does add a frustrating aspect (and a bit of a thrill if you do pull off the harder difficulties though I guess). Gave me good Payday 2 vibes, even if it's unpolished in some areas (stealth is unforgiving and the layouts sometimes nearly impossible, the lack of tutorials is annoying, the lack of preparation information makes it sometimes unknown if it's even stealth or loud or how objectives work in the missions themselves until you fail) it is a lot better in others - like the heisters AI is actually half decent when it doesn't get stuck with bags and can move loot even in stealth, which is much appreciated. As you say if they had just the missions and that was it available, it'd be more fun for the main big missions - means no faffing around with side missions or the territory minigame - I hope they add that. The acting is between hammy and awful (I have a feeling limited time and bad voice direction mainly) but man it's some great ham from some actors I love, plus Vanilla Ice is there. I must go find these Vanilla Ice cutscenes - I've only ever seen two of his before!
