At 1:35 you have that extra black unwanted recorded region to the right. Is there a way to change the aspect ratio of the final file that will be recorded so you don't have to stretch your input? edit: I found the solution online. You go Settings->Video->Base (Canvas) Resolution-> set to pixel dimensions of what the rectangle within your display you want to record is (hint, use windows snipping tool then paste it into paint to get the pixels by pixels dimensions).

I do hold it with the mouse and try to drag it down from source and scene columns, it looks like it's frozen. It does not go down. Is there another way of doing it? I'm able to hold the mouse and drag upwards and it closes the scenes screen instead of downwards to enlarge the screen.

I just need to do the first part of your video, that is to drag down from the middle (from source, etc.) to enlarge the main video screen. But for some reason, I could only make the "video screen" reach to about half of my computer screen and stop there. Is it only available to newer OBS version (mine is OBS 26.1.1)? Or do I need to set up something else first? Help anyone? Thanks.

This feature broke tonight. OBS no longer scales the screen. It is fixed resolution mapping now and I can't see the whole screen anymore unless I make OBS full screen. Something broke on startup today and I don't know what it is.

I'm holding "ALT" and it's not working. I followed your instructions if it wasn't working properly and it STILL isn't working. I've done this before, but it's been a while and I need to only record a specific part of my screen. Doh! I will keep watching OBS tutorials until my eyes fall out or, until I actually figure this out. Thank you for the video. You aren't doing anything wrong as I can see. Everyone tells you how to adjust capture size but NO ONE knows how to adjust your actual screen size on the thing its really annoying. This is all I see people talking about but its useless. Everyone knows how to change the size of the source by stretching it but how come when I have the source exactly where I want it I can't bring the sides of the screen in closer to match it.
