hey, youtuber here! so i cropped my camera a while ago, and now i want to undo that crop. but this is now permanent! The cropping for left right up and down all say 0 ( at 4:03 ) ! So this crop is now my default!. resetting the transoformation just resets it to the crop i used all the time before

Couldn’t you just use fit to screen in the transform settings?? That would put it at a default 1920x1080

Loved this video so much. Something to keep in mind is you can't do any of this if you right click the viewer and "Lock Preview" is enabled! I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get the red borders, turns out it's cause my preview was locked.

Well, thanks for the sharing. 1:41 For the OBS 27.1.3 _shift_ is working instead of _alt_ for resizing one side. With _alt_ too, you can grab a corner and resize the shape unrestricted, but just inside the former dimension, not larger. It is cool that i found that too. Hope it helps others too. Cheers!

For example, let's say you want to crop out the URL bar that appears at the top of the google browser, but when you do that it leaves a black bar there now. Im having a problem with the picture. Using my DSLR (EOS t5i), and just started using HDMI capture card, the picture is way too wide and way too short. It won't fill up the screen and everything looks short and fat. I have tried all of the cropping and sizing methods you show in this video and nothing works. The aspect ratio is set at 16:9 and the resolution is 1920x1080. It's almost as though it's a camera setting problem but I know the camera settings are all proper. And this doesn't happen with the Capture software I have been using for the last 3 years streaming which is SparkoCam. Only since I started trying to use the capture card in place of the capture software. HELP... Now here it is a few minutes later and I've been pushing buttons and now the whole thing is all screwed up. I'm about ready to give up on OBS it is not user friendly.
