Masterpiece, I mean in the real, true meaning of the word, this is ART. You see covers and covers everywhere, I have had enough, we certainly need new pieces like these songs as new breaths that do not repeat something else completely.

I do not understand metal music. What is its purpose? What the emotion it delivers?
@andrealb4363
@andrealb4363 4 жыл бұрын
@@vormund1011 as instances: early rock n roll, along with blues before it, were both means to express peculiar stances and emotions. early punk rock - 80's hardcore punk - was a way to express some other stance, both political and social, discomfiture and rage. What the purposes and the emotions metal music brings with it? It is not a critique, just to understand.
@eyefeelpineal2617
@eyefeelpineal2617 4 жыл бұрын
That is too vague a question I'm afraid. This is partly due to the many different sub-genres, but also the own personal inflections of each band. For example, a lot of death metal portrays a frustration with society. A lot of thrash metal has a anti-religion/ anti-order meaning. A lot of industrial metal has a political meaning
@andrealb4363
@andrealb4363 4 жыл бұрын
@@eyefeelpineal2617 good point of course. I concur with you. one of the few genres I don't use to listen to is metal like the one played by the guitarist in the video, and similar. This genre is "silent" to me. It doesn't convey any emotion to me. By the way: my music listening ranges from crust to early folk music. But this sort of metal ... 😉
@eyefeelpineal2617
@eyefeelpineal2617 4 жыл бұрын
@@andrealb4363 Well at least you understand now where I'm coming from. That is completely fine for you to not "feel" this music: everyone is different. At least you gave it a try, and also at least you showed respect for the music by wanting to know more. Perhaps try some more melodic, or prog metal. Recommendations would include Gojira, Tool, and Animals as Leaders. The aforementioned bands are very unique and offer very different flavours of what is part of the vast spectrum of metal. Tool (if you don't already know) is usually more prog rock in my opinion, but with metal elements. Anyways, enjoy!
@andrealb4363
@andrealb4363 4 жыл бұрын
@@eyefeelpineal2617 of course! Respect comes first! The pleasure we get from music is subjective. You know, to me the problem with metal is its inner tension to convey messages of any kind through virtuosity. I simply prefer Leroy Carr (old blues) or jorma kaukonen (Jefferson airplane) for example, or bad religion (my favourite band at all) to yngwie malmsteen's extreme technique - which is merely a way to display how good he is at playing guitar. Given that, I like thrash metal when it is mixed up with hardcore, as instance, early DRI or some album from band like disgust or extreme noise terror, let alone tragegy - vengeance is THE masterpiece. But preferences by definition are subjective 😉
