Steffen playing Christian's solo? I was not expecting that :-)

Wow, Steffen plays Christian's solo?! This is something new. Perhaps we could expect some more Steffen solos in the future songs?

Which songs?
@damonkoenig99698 жыл бұрын
Ig Petrov I'll give you all the ones from Cosmogenesis, since I have my tab book handy. For Omnivium and Akroasis, just look it up? He has the second solo in Universe Momentum, the first solo in Desolate Spheres, and the first solo in Noospheres. I think he does like 5 solos on Omnivium and about 5 on Akroasis as well.

People always overlook the rhythm guitarists, and always focus on the lead guitarist. This can be understandable, especially in rock music, though with a lot of bands such as Obscura this is not the case, people usually don't pay as much attention to Steffen (guitar wise), and that's why everyone is going nuts when they see him play the solo.
@UroboricNate6 жыл бұрын
Because the solo from this song is the most difficult part by far, and its not originally played or written by him, that makes it far more impressive.
@UroboricNate6 жыл бұрын
Also, who the fuck overlooks the rhythm in a band like Obscura, thats pretty much what they are all about, badass tech death riffs.
@necrophagististhebestbando20486 жыл бұрын
As a really big fan of Obscura and tech death in general, i like much more the rhythm than the solos, even tho i love solos too

The first time I've heard that song I had that strong feeling that I've heard that song before. Now I just realized that's because it's a carbon copy of a typical Death song. Same time of riffs, same song structure, very similar drum sound, fretless bass. Not that it's a bad thing cuz the song is good, but zero in the originality department.
@BradCynical6 жыл бұрын
CarcPazu they sound some like death but take it to the extreme. Seeing a natural progression in a style is short sighted and ignorant duder

"but zero in the originality department". Really? This is one of the most unique songs I've ever heard.
@akarshshekhar52336 жыл бұрын
Since when did 'fretless bass' become a 'signature' Death feature??? Steve Digiorgio only played on Human and Individual Thought Patterns. All the other albums have bassists (including Schuldiner himself) who use bass guitars with frets. Also, what the hell is a 'typical' Death sound??? Do Zombie Ritual and Flesh and the Power It Holds have heavy acoustic similarities??? Also, please mention the Death songs which have similar sounding drums to Anti Cosmic Overload.

I really think their music sounds artificial, guess I'm old school now... I grew up when Necro was big - not really into the new school shit it's too bad to.
