My opinion: you can date whoever you want if you are single and you are 2 consenting adults! Who tf does he think he is....God?? The fact that Erica walked on eggshells and couldn't live her life and make decisions for herself is a HUGE red flag🚩. Experienced in relationships with narcicistic abuse, psychopathy and malignant bpd, I think Pedro is very manipulative, controlling and just radiating arrogance. From his journal and behaviour, I get that he thinks he is smart and that he is very entitled. Obviously he thinks that he can decide over someone elses lives by killing one and stalking, manipulating and controlling the other. Planning al this...Feeling superior......And then the bragging about it... This screams narcissist at the least.

I don't think that Erica and Christian started hanging out with the intentions of "betraying" Pedro. They were friends and it became more. Should they have told Pedro? Maybe, but i've never made it a point to tell my ex that I'm dating someone new. That's not my ex's business. Being Pedro would not leave Erica alone, plus the fact he kept using the depression and suicide card on Erica and Christian, I totally understand why they didn't. I don't think it would have mattered in the end. Pedro had this all planned out and was manipulating both of them into feeling sorry and worried about him.

I don't agree with the hiding of the relationship with Christian, but Pedro held her emotionally captive for a looong time. He knew what he was doing. She tried to break up with him, he cried and slung snot until she felt too guilty to break up with him, and when she got a chance she ran for it. And how long was she supposed to keep her love life on the downlow to keep from upsetting him? Sooner or later it stops being her responsibility to worry about his happiness. He didnt even tell her he was moving there! That's stalking! Hello?!!? She maybe should have reached out to his parents or something, but he's not her responsibility!! I get not dating someone if like your sister was engaged to them or someone extremely close to you, but if a relationship has been over for a while, and you know the person has been trying to break up with you and only stayed with you because you used emotional blackmail on them, then you give up the right to get upset because your ex is dating your friend. Since his friends and family knew how upset he was why didn't they get help for him? This is not totally on Erica and Christian. Pedro has to accept some responsibility for his own stalker, obsessive actions. And to kill him?!!? Wonder how that worked out for him getting Erica to come back to him? Does he think maybe shes going to come visit him in prison and stay single for the rest of her life now that Christian is dead? I do think he needed some help, but he is also a manipulative little s$it.

He’s not well, mentally. That doesn’t excuse his actions. He planned to murder that young man, and in his arrest photos he seem happy with his decision. He’s sick, and evil. Tbh I think Erica could have done so many things better. Like when you break up after a long relationship and he’s telling you he’s suicidal and acting all weird you could maybe let his parents know about it instead of ignoring. Ignoring is a way to give hope to people who are obsessed sometimes…. Also on both their part, it’s weird to date your friends ex/ ex’s friend considering they knew each other for so long. And the fact that they both denied it when he upfront asked and continued to talk to him and hang out with him. I mean she even asked him to go file a police report with her… I think Erica hanging out with both guys after he chose Christian over Pedro is honestly weird to me. Of course what Pedro did is so outrageous but I truly believe he could have been handled better. He made it clear with his statements that he’s not in the right mind set.

Can u do a video on Joshua Maddux his case is highly suspicious with little evidence due to the crime scene being deconstructed and the lack of work and effort by the police department. He was only 17 and went on a walk only to be found 7 years later in a chimney of a cabin in the woods that he would frequent. He was found only half clothed and there is a safety cage on the top of the opening of the chimney! And the police ruled it an accident. He was a good person, a young man who was liked by classmates and loved by his family and friends, and they haven't done a thing to bring him justice or peace for his family. His parents deserve answers before they pass, and his siblings. Please I feel the more awareness to this case than perhaps they will reopen the case and look for the monster(s) that did this to him. It wouldn't have mattered who Erica dated Pedro would have killed anyone she was with. Honestly even if they had stayed together at some point he would have ended up killing her or someone he perceived to be interested in her. He was obsessive but also manipulative. People can date who they want. A sign of maturity is accepting that someone you love doesn't feel the same and wanting them to be happy no matter who it's with. True love and friendship is about thinking outside yourself to see the best for someone else. It also sounds like Erica was already scared of Pedro she just didn't understand her unease and it sounds like her and Christian just kinda happened they were friends and they fell in love from there. I also think Pedro had a bad lawyer his defense could have been multiple possible scenarios as well as him having mental health problems.

I'm not one to victim blame but with or without the fact that Pedro was having such a hard time with the breakup it was probably a really bad idea for Christian and the ex to start dating each other. I've always had a rule that the ex's of my friends are completely off limits, I wouldn't want to see one of my ex's with one of my friends to me that's just not something you do. That being said that absolutely doesn't give Pedro the right to take Christian's life and I absolutely believe he planned this murder and I don't believe it happened the way he said it happened. though i’m not going to shame erica for breaking up with pedro since at the end of the day, if someone doesn’t want to be with you anymore, you have to move on. but what i am sort of upset about is how she jumped into a relationship with christian. she KNEW that was his friend. and then tried to hide it. if you know it’s wrong, or morally wrong, why do it? yes you’re young, but she broke up with because she was 1. moving away and 2. because he was “tying her down”. pedro was trying to grasp onto her, not realizing that she didn’t want him anymore. i feel really bad for pedro for thinking that she was all he had. and that he felt as though this was the only thing that would allow him to keep erica. when erica obviously didn’t love him or want him anymore.

At the end of the day, she is not responsible for how he moves on. You are responsible for how you deal with a breakup, or don’t deal with it. She’s not responsible for his mental health. I don’t think she INTENTIONALLY meant to date his friend, things happen. She’s free to date whoever he wants. The journal in itself showed us a glimpse into his mental health and the state he was in, also moving to another state is pretty drastic. He exhibited behaviors most people wouldn’t. It’s just unfortunate he become so obsessed that what happened, happened.

Relationships don't work out sometimes and he made it as difficult as possible for her to end the relationship. They didn't cheat behind pedro's back...he doesn't get lifetime ownership over her and who she dates. Period.

She tried to break up with him and he threw a fit, she does actually break up with him before college and he stalks her to her university. Her consideration of him ended with the end of their relationship, her life doesn't revolve around him. And that's BEFORE he knew she was dating again. He has the "if I can't have you, nobody can" mentality and it's dangerous and I think he would have tried to kill anyone she dated. A normal response to your not close friend dating your ex is to cut them out of your life, not murder.

Ngl this hard because I can understand his hurt when he found out it was his friend. It’s wrong to hurt anyone bc it’s obvious the girl wasn’t going to leave him no matter what he did to win her back so he did what he did for absolutely nothing! I believe it wouldn’t have changed the outcome but they should’ve told him. I know I would’ve, I’m not hiding my love for someone, I’ve broken someone’s heart before and it made them retaliate against my new partner. Until he finally moved on it was a lot. I’ve been hurt myself I’ve been young and so hurt I felt like offing myself but never the less this case is sad asf! He probably really was completely broken I think he really did want to hurt himself and def had mental issues! So sad for Christian though 💯

Prior to this case, Siri would give answers like swamps & woods being a good place to hide a body. After this case broke the news, Apple put out an update which made it so Siri would then say she couldn't help with that question or she doesn't understand the question.
