I gave birth in America. You are given the choice of keeping the baby with you through the evening & night or the nurses caring for the baby in the nursery until morning.

I’m British but I lived & worked in the USA from 1998. Living in England through the 1980’s & 1990’s, before the NHS (National Health Service) became fully computerised it would have been very easy to hide your identity. I changed doctors when I left home as a student & again when I moved for work. Signing-up for a doctor in a new area was simple. All I had to do was fill-out the forms that included “last doctors surgery” with each move. Most of my medical records were “lost”, when I didn’t want them to be! I gave correct information but back in the day we just had paper files at the GP’s office. Pieces of paper were easily put in the wrong folder…

I had to get my body into peek fitness when I had my 2nd baby because I couldn’t take prescription medications for my illness. I prepared for 18 months before we tried to get pregnant (I get pregnant very easily) so my body was ‘perfectly’ toned. It was amazing how much easier it was to be pregnant, give birth & recover after. When my contractions started everyone in our home was asleep. I didn’t want to spend hours in hospital so I stayed comfortable at home. Come morning I woke my parents who were staying with us to care for our toddler son & my husband…who went in the shower! They thought that I was too laid-back to actually be in labour! Even the medical staff in the maternity ward were shocked when they saw how far into labour I was when I arrived at the hospital! I informed them that my contractions were now coming hard & fast but they looked doubtful & told me to take a seat in the waiting room. 15 minutes later I reminded them that I was giving birth, reluctantly they took me behind a curtain…Once they ‘took a look’ it was emergency stations! 10 minutes later I was holding my baby girl in my arms! 😊 Everyone’s different & every pregnancy is different…

Condoms, birth control, female condoms, abortion, adoption etc there are so many other options besides murder. To me if your first thought is murder then you're wired incorrectly and should 100% seek help. To conclude as a women you have a responsibility to take care of your own self regarding safe sex ESPECIALLY!

Exactly. I went to a boarding school with astronomically wealthy students. They are incredibly reckless like this. I didn’t know any who were this bad, but I saw girls get pregnant once, and keep partying because ‘my old nanny found a family to raise her.’ I saw teenagers go to rehab over the summer, get a sports car, and party their way through school. They would never get confronted about anything, even if they were causing harm. I was even told to shut up by the Dean of the school, when a group of older boys began stalking me outside of school, just because two of them had a father that basically paid for the new football field. It got a lot worse after that.

There are other pregnancies similar to this case actually! Sometimes the idea of being pregnant (or not being pregnant) is so traumatic that the brain refuses to consider that's what is happening and thereby the body responds by suppressing symptoms of pregnancy as it seems to be in this case. People can also be so convinced they are pregnant their bodies create symptoms of pregnancy such as getting a belly bump, nausea, false kicks and flutters etc etc. The human mind/body connection is wild dude.

In my town in Illinois, when a mother decides to give her baby up for adoption, the mother is offered time with the child but if refused, the baby is removed and placed in a nursery and the mother is usually transferred out of the maternity ward. They do this as a way to remove the mother so she is able to heal emotionally and physically without constantly being reminded of what she has gone through.

According to the law her prior abortions and her choice to hide her pregnancies should not have been admitted in court. This causes prejudice in the minds of the jurors. There was no evidence at all that she harmed Tiegan. No concrete evidence to disprove that she surrendered the baby to the father. Theory on the hospital bit - when you adopt out, I believe they give you the option to have contact with the baby or for the staff to take them away right away. I also feel like she may have told the nurse at the time that she wanted to take a walk for some light exercise and to mentally process adopting out. Nurses will let you walk around and encourage it if your vitals are good. Then she changed at one of the public restrooms and dipped, celebrated and came back to change and back in her bed. Prior to the 2000s, hospitals did take babies to nursery’s for mommy to rest and for tests, cleaning etc. But because of too many people successfully kidnapping a newborn as well as nurses intentionally (yes intentionally) swapping babies for no other reason than malicious intent.

I know someone who did not know she was pregnant on the day she went into labor. She had four normal pregnancies before, and then she got a really terrible back pain and went into the ER and had a baby. The baby was full term. She did not show. She had a period for nine months. She didn't have cravings, didn't have swelling, didn't have nausea, didn't have an irregular bleeding, she had a seemingly normal period every single month. The circumstances of how she got pregnant were very traumatic and her psyche protected her by completely suppressing any conscious knowledge of the baby. She ignored it. She'd had pregnancies before, as I said. This wasn't her first rodeo. It wasn't her first labour either, but she had no idea it was labour pains when she went to the hospital. I know of other people who didn't know they were pregnant until nine months, who didn't show, had a period, etc. It's not unheard of. She knew, but her body might still not have shown.

I can understand accidents but come on, five babies? Does she not have any feelings whatsoever? I hope that her decisions weighs heavily on her and that she stays in jail for a very long time.

When I was 6 1/2 months and working a temp job. I told my supervisor that I had a doctor's appointment that afternoon and wasn't sure what time I would be back. She asked if everything was okay and I said yes ,it's just my ob check-up. She said that was so nice and asked how far along. When I told her, she was was like there's no way. I just stumbled on to your channel so this is my first video of yours. Happy, happy , happiest birthday to you!! I am in Canada so the maternity ward rules may be different but they were pretty strict back in 1993, the baby and mother had matching bands which were placed on in the delivery room. The baby normally stayed with the mother, although my son ended up being in NICU ward which was even stricter as well as with a lot more procedures to even enter NICU. I can understand one pregnancy coming as a complete shock as previous to the above mentioned pregnancy, I ended up pregnant and gave birth when I was 16 and after 3 months of trying to single parent, I gave the baby up for adoption. There was two different types of adoptions….one was closed which they child was surrendered to to system and no information was given at all to the birth parents. The other was an open adoption where the birth parent “picked” the family from an adoption agency then met the family and then,immediately after the birth, the adoptive parents usually took the child home. The agency who set this up strongly discouraged the birth mom from seeing the child. For those 3 months I tried to parent while going to a new school, living with my parents and being isolated from my friends because my friends parents thought my pregnancy might be contagious, I went to high schools talking about the challenges, the struggles and the upheaval having a baby when so young does to one’s life. I never liked the girls who used abortion as birth control, the mentality that they’ll just get an abortion like nothing happened. Be responsible for own actions! Make better choices, especially when you know unprotected sex can lead to a whole snake nest of possible issues and some cannot be undone…..disease’s, infections…..an innocent baby. I know I had HUGE regrets and even shame for my carelessness.

this is so heartbreaking because so many women who want to have children struggle to do so but here is Keli is almost consistently getting pregnant without even trying. i also believe that the taxi driver just wanted his 15 minutes of fame. it's just heartless that he decided to use the murder of a newborn to do so. Because any sane person would have immediately called the police about what Keli was doing, not drive off w/o questioning her actions. also it can be common for people to not really show during pregnancies, i don't know if you had this show in Australia, but in the US on the TLC network, there was a show called "I didn't know I was Pregnant". Some people just don't show and with Keli being as athletic as she was, that was most definitely a factor in her not really showing with the first couple pregnancies.

My 1st time seeing you channel. It’s great. Love the content. Back in the 1990s and 2000s babies still went into nursery unless parents wanted them in the room. My children stayed in the room with me but they also went to nursery for me to sleep a bit. They try to get patients in and out as soon as well baby check is done. Sometimes same day here. Baby must pee and have first bowel movement. Cord blood is collected from placenta and stored for stem cells now for every baby right at delivery. Then blood tests are taken, heel prick is to check their hemoglobin, check for jaundice and baby well check before discharge. ( It is routine and parents might not even know about it). Also to make sure baby is eating well and mum is able to nurse if she is breastfeeding. I hope this helps. I also work in hospital and worked in Labour and delivery/ post partum, NICU and nursery when they opened/ were making a larger unit, or short staffed. Things changed around late 2013. I live in the suburbs of Sacramento California, USA. I also have 6 children and had my first at 15. It is a scary thing but first and foremost, they are gifts. ❤

My theory for the “bush woman”: unofficial adoption rings had been a thing in America for decades prior to this (look up Georgia Tann) and she would say to women like Keli who need a discreet way of getting rid of a baby, teenagers, unwed women etc she’d say she has wonderful families waiting to take care of your baby but instead sell them to the richest families and treated them like animals. Being purchased in that manner they were often treated like property by the adoptive families, literally returning for an exchange if they don’t like this one anymore. Where there is vulnerability and money to be made, that’s usually where evil lays. So meeting in a discreet location for the handover in that situation makes sense, if the cabbie had seen her hand the baby to a woman, that’s a lead. This is a wild story with no hard evidence. That’s how I reckon it went, if the cabbie isn’t talking out of his arse.

I can't believe that she was found guilty of killing a "baby" they can't even prove existed in the first place! Having no body makes it even more shocking that a guilty verdict was reached!
@thatswhatshesaid6326 Жыл бұрын
Well I definitely think they can prove baby Teagan existed. I mean she had her in the hospital and was discharged 2 days later. They just don’t know what happened to her in a 3 hour window
@sherryernst9901 Жыл бұрын
The baby has a birth certificate and had her prints done and tests and was released from the hospital they just can't prove what happened to her if she was given away or killed unfortunately. But as far as I'm concerned she should've been charged with something until she could produce the child or proof of what happened to her because you can't just give birth and be released from the hospital and have the child disappear after that and face no Consequences after that. Abandonment, neglect something

I was born in 81 and they absolutely take blood it’s a necessity to do in order to find out if a baby is RH negative or positive, they also check for blood type or other blood pathogens .

I’d forgotten this story. It’s like, how could she?! It’s just too awful. The strange thing is that I just saw an article a few days ago about this very type of thing, as if the baby realizes it’s not wanted and stays cramped up because the mom denies the pregnancy? Just awful.

The 9th month is when the belly suddenly shows if not before. In England they can’t get you out of the hospital quick enough after giving birth.
@1KPOTTS Жыл бұрын
In the United States when you put your baby up for adoption, you can choose to have the baby stay with the adoptive parents after birth the entire hospital stay. You still make all the decisions for the baby until the adoption is final, but the baby is technically the adoptive parents and the hospital usually gives them a room to bond with their new baby.

Back in the 90s they did the PKU heel stick and standard new baby tests (to check for bilirubin and fetal drug/alcohol testing and some genetic disorders) but they did not store dna or anything back then.

She was a narcissist, & was very immature because her sporting life meant lots of control by others. Her selfish behaviour caused so much pain….why didn’t she use birth control, she wasnt stupid , just egotistical . It was always about her, nobody else. An unwanted baby was easily thrown away.

My oldest is 9 and he was taken to the nursery. My youngest is 3 and they did not. So things have changed over the past few years. As far as not being allowed to leave the hospital...they can't make you stay. They don't want you to leave but you can. You just have to sign a waiver that the hospital is not responsible for whatever happens to you and that you are leaving against your Drs recommendations.

I had my twins at 19. I didn’t start to show until I told my family I was pregnant about 20-24 weeks for close to extended fam. That’s when I popped being only 5’2. I became huge all belly it came out of nowhere lol I delivered after my water broke at 34 weeks. It seems like my pregnancy flew by to most because it was just between me and my 13-year-old sister for the first 20/22 weeks.

I don't know about Australia, but at some point, it became the norm for babies to "room in" with mom unless there is a problem. I had kids both before and after this trend. I know why they did it, but man, not being able to sleep all day makes it hard. LOL Also, about the same time as the rooming in, it became more normal for mom and baby to be released from the hospital as quickly as possible. Insurance will only pay for a certain number of days. After my last birth they wanted to release me the next day! I had my tubes tied and was able to convince them to let me stay an extra day. My daughter had feeding issues, which I think would have been caught if I hadn't been pushed out the door! Instead, I went through weeks of worry before I found out what was wrong.

Man, I am only 13 minutes in and I am already ticked off!! How dare she be ticked off about not getting counseling when she decides to KILL a baby!! At 20 weeks, the baby has all of its fingers, toes, eyes, organs etc. If a woman goes into labor at 20 weeks, it is possible now for the baby to live!! The fact that she was just careless and screwing without being safe about it or careful is just ignorant!! You want to kill a baby because you are reckless!! I could understand if she were sexually assaulted, I could understand if it was life or death for her. But I will NEVER understand how it is legal for a reckless pos to have an abortion at 20 weeks or further!! This is not knocking early abortions, this is not knocking special circumstances. Each case is different. But this right here, cases like this, the “it’s my body” bs goes out of the window!! You should have thought about that before whoring around!! And the fact that a woman can do it without the consent of the father!! I hate how this is legal!!

Does Australia not have safe havens? In the US you can drop a baby at a fire station or hospital with no questions asked. You don't even have to tell them who you are.

Happy birthday hun, thanks for another great video from another Australian. I honestly can't believe how irresponsible she was in falling pregnant so many times. But also they had no proof to find her guilty of murder even if she did do it. Definitely a twisted story of a person who was under alot of pressure, which doesn't excuse her actions. Would be nice to know one day what did happen to the baby girl

There are so many documented cases of women not knowing they're pregnant until they're in active labor, and even teens not knowing what's going on until a whole baby falls out of them. The better shape you're in, the less likely you are to show. My ballet teacher didn't know she was pregnant till she suddenly had a "cramp" (contraction) and gave birth in an elevator. And that was her third child. It's not beyond the realm of possibility at all.

Not everyone feels contractions as badly either, I had a c-section but I was in active labor first and my contractions just felt like my tummy getting hard and then relaxing

Hi Zara 🥰 HUGE fan of your channel and I’m working through all of your videos. This case drives me crazy! The secrecy and lies and never getting any answers!!! Were there ever any alternative theories in this case? Like was Keli taken advantage of by a coach, or family member? Was there sexual abuse happening that resulted in some or all of these pregnancies that would have been detrimental to her family or community if it came out? Was she staying quiet to protect someone? I just cannot get my head around it all and why there has never been any answers. Could you please do a follow up on the case once Keli is out if any other details emerge?

The only thing that I can think is. My niece is in sports. She's been in sports her whole life and when she got pregnant. You could not tell at all she was pregnant. The doctor had said it's because she was so fit and kept working out and kept playing sports during her pregnancy that her bump didn't grow. Like it grew, but it didn't grow out. Plus, her uterus is tilted, so it grew more upward. She looked like she had put on maybe like 5 pounds, and that was it. And then we had a beautiful healthy baby. No one believed her when she said she was pregnant because of how small she was and it had a lot to do with her working out and continuing playing sports. Obviously cautiously with Dr's permission, but still this case is absolutely gross sad and insane. Also when putting a baby up for adoption they don't let her keep the baby in the room with her they keep it in the nursery. Plus my hospital when I had all 4 my baby's they let me outside and the nurses watched my daughters so I could go for a walk and get air

This is WILD! Sad really. This woman did not deserve to have kids and here she is just always getting pregnant and just giving the babies away with no care. Hasn’t she heard of birth control! So many people can’t have kids and want them. And this woman doesn’t and continues to get pregnant. I think she has some serious mental issues. How can you get rid of ALL your kids , terminations included.

My oldest is a birth control baby... I took it PERFECTLY, had an alarm set on my phone for I think 10pm because my mornings were never the same, but I knew I'd always be awake at that time, I kept it in my purse, and even if I was working I'd grab it and take it as soon as my alarm went off... Nothing but abstinence is 100%
