I tend to cut down the code instead of defining the pages to link to separately the first time I use the point I define it. Reduces the code significantly: A(Old World) --- B(Gates of Barovia) B --3--- E(Village of Barovia) E --3--- F(River Ivlis Crossroads) F --1.5--- G(Tser Pool Encampment) F --6--- H(Tser Falls)

Interestingly, I just recently imported some more of my material from Realmworks relating to people and I had a number of relationship links set in Realmworks that automatically converted to mermaid diagrams quite nicely.

This will be very useful to define the geneology of my races, in my setting: Elves are Human + Eladrin (extinct) Orcs are Goblinoid + Eladrin (extinct)

Check out my latest video on using the Excalidraw Plugin. It's much easier and the result is much better IMHO.

Working my way through your Obsidian playlist just now... Is this use case of Mermaid basically obsolete compared to the Core plugin Canvas now?
@JoshPlunkett Жыл бұрын
I certainly don't use it. I prefer Excalidraw myself

@@JoshPlunkett Do you mean you use Excalidraw instead of Mermaid, or Canvas?
@JoshPlunkett Жыл бұрын
@MattMGK sure do. Mermaid is terribly clunky given its all text controlled. I did try canvas and I like it. But it's not quite right for flow charts. I much prefer Excalidraw.
