one of the most remarkable things about ED is the community: Radio SideWinder, Fuel Rats, EDShipyard, EDDB, the Research and exploration-communities....there are very few games with this much community involvement...sadly Forntier's support for said Player efforts is non existant.

The previous iterations of Elite didn't look so heavily focused in combat. that's what bothers me a bit. Every new feature they put out is aimed at combat players. It seems they do everything they can to steer people off the other aspects of the game, that did not change substantially since the first release. Engineering : combat, besides the one FSD range upgrade. Can't engineer fuel scoop rates for explorers, and all the scanner upgrades add mass, making them unusable for exploration. Multicrew : exclusively combat... can't let your mate get a SRV, can't give them control of the refinery while mining, or sensors while exploring.. I really hope they do as they said they would : go back and rework core game features, to make everything non-combat more interesting.

Apart from getting a E1 in stead of an E5 Cargo rack, you were also bountyhunting in an area where all ships were lawless. Unless you scan your targets with a kill warrant scanner and find some universal bounty on the ship, you won't get a bounty for killing them. The Alliance bounty voucher you showed, was already there (as seen at 10:22) Anyway, I enjoy watching your video's, so keep posting them and stay sharp ! ;-)

Commanders: Do not underestimate passenger missions. 4 million an hour is not a lot but it does make a difference.

Just got in into Engineering and found the FSD Grade 5 mats were a bit of a pain. Nothing was overly too difficult, just finding Type-9s was few and far between.

It's worth noting that by changing your jump projections from fastest to economical in the galaxy map you'll often be able to make otherwise impossible journeys & for less fuel consumption @ the cost of further jumps.

Cool video Ant. I'm totally addicted to this game on the PS4. Could you do a video on FSD Supercharging from White Dwarfs and Pulsars? I tried to do it in my Asp Explorer but it said it couldn't make any jumps because of a 5 ton fuel limit. Not sure what to do with that. Love your videos Ant :)

I heard it said that White Dwarfs are so dangerous that many players will not try to jump from them. Never found one myself.

It's the second most manouverable ship without mods, I have one merely upgraded, no mods, and I can outmanoeuvre anything but eagles and other vultures, and I'm a newbie, so, it's quite surprising for me to see someone saying it wasn't manouverable enough without mods...

Dual gimballed beam weapons. It's hard on the small power plant, but you can make it work by power management. I think I even had to power down the cargo hatch on mine.

How do the univers look in the PS4? I want to get started as an explorer in the game, I have a good PC and a PS4 Pro - is the game good looking on the PS4, and is there a ok player base?

The galaxy and open player base is the same for all platforms. If you are carrying cargo in open play, you are a target otherwise most will leave you alone. Of course there are jerks in every online game.

wow, so many "happy accidents" in this video... thats unusual. the cargo rack - and then at the end, you got ZERO bounty from the LAWLESS IEgle, because it was not wanted. the alliance bounty was probly a leftover

one reason I transport meat bags and not cargo, I have 1 cargo space of 4 lol and it's always empty and a fully loaded mark 3 cobra set for combat even though my rank says mostly harmless my transport rank is merchant

Hussan Chambers go to gaxaly map and plot course to star system keep in mind your power plant, fsd drive, fuel scoop increases your jump range. when looking at your ship remember you can only jump a certain amount of light years but can be upgraded by doing missions to by parts of the 3 mentioned above. taking off your planetary hanger increases your jump range if you don't plan to be an explorer or do missions planet side. best reccommedation is get a cobra Mark 3 and buy an economy class cabin and do transport missions under transportation. best place to refit higher models at 15 percent off cost is Diaguarandi

Waste Time Figure out how to check out the MTU value on your router and adjust this setting in the ps4 Internet settings. If you can't figure out what your MTU value is, just reduce it in the PS4 settings in steps of 50 till you notice an improvement. But checking out the correct value on the router or with a pc is much more effective. It solved this issue almost completely for me. You can find a lot of information on this topic in the internet, just google "MTU PS4"
