This is why I keep playing DCUO, all these guides, load outs, customization of powers its just so fun. Having it a little rough with Ice right now though. Hate FrostBlast, don't really like all the channels, shit I'm using Freeze Breath and jump cancelling it for the best damage and PI.

I’m new I’ve been researching the game through your content I hear “clipping” a lot and I understand the jump cancel animation but other powers can cancel animations of others??

Yes, it depends on the type of power. Only certain powers can clip the animation of other powers like shields or defensive abilities and weapon buffs. Gadgets stealth and Mentals Invisibility will also clip powers. Clipping or cancelling the animation of the previous power is the same concept of jump cancelling where you are just eliminating the cast time of the power to speed up your dps rotation or to clip two abilities at once like how a tank would clip 2 shield abilities together so they stack or a healer

Isn't it better for aoe damage to just do the regular loadout, gauss grenade, fear gas, implosion mine and emp, then in stealth have cryo foam or surprise attack, because emp does heavy hits near enough every time and if you use it in stealth you won't be getting the big damage as often

I however have steered away from might artifact from my builds, and are telling league mates to do the same, because an offtank in dps loadout will push over 15k might to the group, and if any other dps is using this artifact it will not stack, and cause decreased might. Not trolling, just giving you a heads up

Can you do an in-depth FIRE guide? And also, can you include loadouts for PVP arena and global aside from the usual PVE loadouts, cause I'm at a loss when it comes to PVPing, I can't seem to do enough damage or even survive bursts even while wearing T1 PVP gear.

In terms of a fire guide I will get around to doing the tank powerset dps guides for pvp that really isn't much of a thing anymore in dcuo, its really just a matter of stacking shields and a weapon you are comfortable with as counters have more of an emphasis. Like if you want to tank in pvp as fire its just like hard light shield, immolation, backdraft, stoke flames, burning determination and either like firey weapon or detonate

To piggy back on Obsidian, T1 PVP vendor gear doesn't net you a ton of results as far as survivability. A good question is how many skill points do you have as a PvP player? There are certain power sets that can spam a certain power, and do massive damage at a low power cost to them. For example, Mental in PvP, you can spam psychic shock and do significant damage to your opponent. The opponent cant interrupt or hard stun you during psychic shock. You can block psychic shock, but sooner rather than later, you'll still die. It's safe, it puts the opponent on defense, and this is why in PvP you'll see Mental spam this 1 move.

Its Hydro range single target, definitely not but in terms of range aoe it’s about the same. Gadgets doesn’t have that good of range and precision range isn’t that good either with just explosive shot or arrow storm

I can look into yea, crystal and fury work a bit different than ability pet's as they have powers included that are used to increase and restore power like fortify golem, also those pets work of PI's so they'll do more damage with a PI equipped and can have power restored to them via controller power and supply drops which also impact how often they attack as their heavy damage attacks are attributed to how much power they have left. So the results are a bit tricky and heavily skewed in terms of the testing conditions

Video idea... how we should handle our stockpiles of supplies before the dlc. Any way we can best take advantage of the changes if the current meta on test is what we get? Do we open our crafting boxes from the quark vendor? Or are those crafting boxes worth more before opening them? (Like total recovery kits will be) what of exceptional recovery kits? Worth buying up anything in the AH? Etc.

Og gadgets build sucks now. By og build I mean stasis field clipped with intimidate(doesn't exist anymore) -> gauss/fear -> fear/gauss -> cryo -> photon. Its really disappointing this rotation doesnt do well anymore. Pre am gadg was my favorite

What power would you recommend for Dps/Trolling?

All of the Troll powers are fairly in line with some power sets edging out 1 over the other by a small marginal increase, TROLL wise. For example, Quantum, arguably, still has the best stuns. Mental, arguably has the best crowd control (Horrific Visage/Multiple taps from Psychic Shock, Thought Bubble, Mass Levitation, Cryokenisies, Phantom Flames). Gadgets has a good balance between stuns, and crowd control and is probably the most versatile of the troll powers (Paralyzing Dart, Gauss Greneade, Napalm Grenade, Neural Neutralizer, Cryo Foam, Holographic Decoy, Vortex Canon). Munitions is probably neck and neck with Mental for good crowd control (Smoke Grenade, Multi-Net Launcher, Shrapnel Grenade, 5 Barrel Mini gun) Hard Light, arguably, has the best push back, and knockdowns, with a few stuns and Crowd Controls (Light Weight Strike, Impact-it doesn't always work as it should, Light Weight, Grasping Hand, Light Blast-this is a big go to for most HL trollers, Spike Quake, Chompers-it doesn't work always as it should DPS Wise: Munitions & Gadgets are currently as of this date stamp, the strongest of the dps/troll powers. Muni is pure range, extremely safe, has high burst damage, along with good consistent damage. Gadgets is the least safe, but has extremely good burst damage. However, you have to be close to midrange to do high damage with Gadgets. There are range load outs, but they simply won't do the same damage compared to close range damage. Mental does fair damage, it's also fairly safe, and you can stay ranged. Mental is burst damage for the most part, but has low burst damage compared to per se Atomic. However, you need significant skill points to keep up with most other dps's like electric, Muni, or gadgets. Base line damage just doesn't hit as hard, and split damage is pretty poor. HL requires a lot of work in order to be in the top 3 on a regular. You need high sp's, a robot sidekick most likely, but possible to maintain without it. HL is a bit slow as far as rotating to different powers. You can't chain powers. If you do, you'll maintain a high power bar, but at the cost of doing low consistent damage. Thus, you must work, and hit different powers in your tray. HL is fairly safe, you can be range or close. However, like Gadgets, it hits harder at close range. Chainsaw x5 hits hard, Light Claws x5 hits hard, lightweight hits hard, these are you're main go to melee, high burst damage powers. As far as range, Hand Clap for single target, Mini gun, and Fan are your go to powers for range.

No, the game is designed not to do what you're saying. I mean think about it, is it fair that you're able to put out as much power as a premium player to per se that of a Legendary player? It's like saying I want to drive fast like a Lambroghini, but I don't want to buy one. I want to be able to drive just as fast in a Ford Escort.

Kendall Fleming That is not the same thing at all. I’m pretty sure what he’s trying to ask is if he can just grind his way up instead of having to pay for micro-transactions. There are plenty other MMOs that don’t require any spending. You can just grind your way up to the top and be just as good as other players who just p2w. It just takes longer for the free player to get to that level, but it’s not impossible. With DCUO, it’s different, because once you reach Tier 3 or 4, you really can’t improve any further. Daybreak has all these paywalls that unless you pay, you’ll just be stuck, because basically all the content after Tier 3 or 4 is all DLC. Literally forced to pay up if you want to keep playing. It’s definitely not the same as your analogy.

Savior Prime there just wasn’t any worth mentioning that would even be in the 26-27k range when this was made. Your best best would just to be midrange, drop the mines and sonic cry and be far enough away just to use emp, stealth’s range is just about as far as emp so you can still use that as well

So I’m trying to find a power that is good all around. Except munitions. That power is boring lol but I know that’s an all around one. brandon B elec is definitely great for this dlc, similar to zoo elec was great for it so if you want to switch to something in the short term you’ll find elec great for these elite raids. Other than that there’s rage where range isn’t good but you can melee a lot of adds in this dlc so semi makes up for it. Nature is good for this, quantum doesn’t have melee but it’s good for elite

I disagree, because it is just that, a science, if you dont want any thought process then don't play. This is most certainly a thought process based game and always has been since inception outside of when advanced mechanics existed. The thought process is one of the thing's that keeps people playing DC, it brings forth competitiveness. If they kill the thought process the population would be nonexistent which is what happened to world of warcraft.

I don't see the point of the stealth use. You use it once every 12+ seconds for one attack and don't use battle display while stealthed on your stationary loadout...that I can tell.

certain powers will give an extra tick of damage when used from stealth, stealth also sets up daze pi, also it stores your supercharges. Battle Display is only a weapon buff now it would be pointless for a might loadout as im not using the head mod for crits. Only on single target was I running the crit head.
