Not only that, more powers need pets in general makes no sense ice cant summon ice golems to help aggro and hard light cant sunmon contructs allies at all even though sinestro uses them in multiple fights with yellow and UV rings

I feel like SOMEONE needs to mention to the devs to buff the fire shield to either make it a full shield or you get heals when using the fire damage reduction shield. Absorb heat cancelling nerf isn’t a huge deal considering we FIRE TANKS can find a workaround. It’s just isn’t fair that fire has a lower defense compared to other tanks and still have a damage reduction shield; it’s basically like fire only has 1 shield which is the hard light shield. They wanted to nerf the absorb heat exploit.. FINE, but they could’ve at least buff the shield.

I'm confused how the absorb heat change of canceling stops the heals "makes sense", but has the complete opposite view on on artifact swapping being good/allowed and not canceling their affects when they're cancelled/uneqipped 🤔.....

because one is a power and the other is an equippable artifact? By your logic then if I use a pet trinket and then take the pet trinket off the pet should disappear too, but does it? Are you telling any player that ever swaps the pet or henchmen trinket they are exploiting because they don't have it equipped anymore? How about a supply drop? if I drop one and then switch to another trinket should the supply drop disappear too? Am I able to swap absorb heat with another power mid combat? no you can't because they don't work the same as artifacts.

@@ObsidianChill You're trying to act as if it's a false equivalency. I'm not here to argue, however, you ARE/WERE swapping powers just like you would with a artifact. Are you going into the load out and swapping the power? No. But you would use absorb heat like activating an art or trinket, cancel mid move while keeping the procs of it just as if you swapped and artifact after proccing, and then be able to activate another power ALREADY in the load out while still proccing from absorb because you canceled it just as you'd activate another art with the previous canceled/swapped art already procc'd.....

@@CodenameRawTV you are trying to compare artifacts to power abilities lol. They aren't the same thing. Name me another power in the game that worked like absorb heat. IF you cancel any channel do you still get the damage and effects? If you cancel rage's channeled hate, which was modeled off absorb heat you stop the damage and the healing. Arts don't equal Powers so the entire argument is irrelevant

@@ObsidianChill I'm not "trying" to do anything. I factually stated how it's the same. And you're also confused by my stance. I wasn't condoning absorb heat pre-change. I'm just baffled at how you let a set of rules apply foe one thing, but the same set of rules should be different for another? This convo is like playing cat and mouse despite it being a very black and white simple callout on the similarities. Like, "name another channel power that xyz" is not a valid rebuttle or change that similarities to how art swapping works. I could very well counter that comment with "well there are arts that you can swap that DON'T carry their procs over when swapping" and that'd negate there not being other channel powers that act like absorb heat.....but w/e lol.

side note on brick earth shatter move it does decent damage on targets where the Brick CR is 340 in the open world with no artifacts or allies, each time I hit fortify golem it did 32k damage using the new ability on the target so when the Bricks cr goes to 430 cr on live this may be close to 50k ticks maybe without mercy or source shard or Aquaman buffs opening a stronger battle build for tanking!

Hopefully they change fury’s projectile hit move to something that will 100% hit a target like crystal does. All it takes is for an add or boss to move slightly and then that slow projectile misses and you do no damage

@@ObsidianChill no trolls runs commlink, they should actually allow pets to receive a certain percentage of the buff the player gets from trolls and also a soda that gives like something equal to what nitro soda gives or maybe even less equal. They make ally’s that buff pets but they practically almost make them useless in certain situations.

God those days sucked hard having to state what power you were because 2 of a kind canceled eachother out. these devs REALLY need to put focus on issues more often, I'll gladly have a year without a booster bundle or some other only for paying players thing, or just a rerun of an older one. If they fix the sneakers of wrath on sprite female, the voicelines not triggering, certain feats counting pets as players, and many...many...MANY more. lol

Oh awesome , a nerf to fire and buff to earth. How convenient. I’m curious to how many will change now. I bet anything that “bug” was always known about and it wasn’t going to be changed until earth and sorcery were getting some attention. I use rage but if I was ever on fire , absorb heat was a real nice move to have to tank similarly. Why not just leave fire tf alone? A nice little clutch power to keep things going. It’s not like fire is op and absorb heat definitely didn’t make it op.

Its actually a buff... 20% increased healing can definitely be abused considering the healing artifacts that fire has an advantage over.

Hi, I have issues with my celestial rotation. Would it be better to use Cursed Idol and Neo-Venom Boost or Robot Sidekick and Cursed Idol?

I prefer Cursed Idol because of the long cast duration of PcDL and DLcP, which would take away of alot of dpsing time with neo vendom. if you are just doing WoTP spam then Neo can work better than Cursed Idol. Robot sidekick would be better than 2 supers because you most likelyu wont have the SC regen enough to consistently use 2

Earth and sorc already have strong pet builds and they got buffed. I mean, I'm all for it but at least give love to the low IQ AI of the suppressor turret. Dumass bot be bodyblocking everybody

Sidekick is higher damage if you are not applying the earth/sorc power interactions for crystal/fury or using Fortify/Offering. However if you use the Mercy artifact with Sidekick its higher base damage

(OFF: I hate that they felt the need to make Zatanna say to avoid the Gorgon's gaze; it's obvious that you shouldn't do what the enemies tell you to do, or at least it should be. Same for people who get pulled by an attack and don't try get away from the boss immediately--why don't they realize they don't want to be there for what's coming next??)

I don't recall the Gorgon saying that line in the first place, maybe because it's not consistent they had Zatanna say it to make sure everyone can prepare? With how hectic some battles can get it's easy to not hear or realize what's about to happen.

@@SHMEGAF Tbh I've really only noticed it with Gorgon, I came back to DCUO after like a decade during the end of the Black Adam episode. There is an issue in the Cursed Solo where Wondergirl does nothing to help again Zatanna though so maybe this DLC is just a bit buggy in general?

@@h0wlingxbeatz611 i would say yes but not much ppl u the Brick l/o & I would say best tank is Atomic or rage though I just was fire before I switched back to munitions. Fire was good with heals but rage is better imo. But id say fire might dps is better as apposed to rage. While rage precision is better than fire might. Light, mental, gadgets are high skill / high power usage = high reward. I hope this helps

Yeah absorb heat was a necessity in new elite content especially with a tanking power that doesnt come with a full shield... gl tanking those beastiomorphs in CTe without it.. yeah you get 20% more healing but you still cant face tank or else all of your heals will be taken away basically thru the damage you take from face tanking. Stoke flames doesnt heal enough and burning determination doesnt really matter with as hard as they hit and since youre stuck channeling Absorb heat, you cant get the burst heal from backdraft or the group breakout. RIP fire tanks and CHMe runs with no healer. Oh but they buffed Earth tho so everybody get them power switch tokens! What a fucking joke. Greedy devs. They really need to quit manipulating the game for the soul purpose of getting money from us and actually make content that is worth the money

CHMe runs without a healer shouldn't even be a thing that is because the raid itself is trash. I did TTE+ plenty of times with and without Absorb Heat, its not as important as you think it is, there are plenty of other options depending on the situation. Or you can still use Absorb Heat in face tanking and have the extra heals and defense increase.

I'm confused as to what this comment even means. What in the world makes you think fire can't do ChmE without a healer after these changes? I'm with Chill, that alert is way too easy. Elites should require a healer. That alert is far too easy for an elite imo.

@Terry23429 so you just want to keep glitches and things that aren't intended in the game to make things "easier "? Well that's said a lot about you. If you need to exploit a glitch to service sounds like you just need to learn how to play and get better. BTW not all fire tanks even use that move because it's not needed.
