I've followed you since you started making youtube videos and it's made me an elite player so thank you for that. This was the final straw for me and i've been playing since 2011. I'm no longer going to play a game that seems to want to "take away" granted things and sell it back to me while also alienate me from playing the game. THE COMMUNITIES ATTITUDES and how they treat new player or returning players. In LFG, if they ask a real or simply question. Because DCUO changed. They'll get dumb/toxic comments. Or barely no one will respond back in LFg. It'll be us OG players. sending a tell in detail. To answer their question or lend support. That's how it use to be.... Now we just have 90% of mouth, cash piggys, speed hackers.

I haven’t played or played for dcuo for about a year and I do miss it, tswe elite was the last fun experience I had in the game. Not because it was a good dlc but because I liked the teamwork involved in the raid. As far as content goes all they do is reuse assets and design structures. The game is over saturated with money grabs it’s a bit hard to keep up, not to mention people normally don’t want to play with someone who doesn’t have the best everything most of the time.

I totally agree with this. After soooo many years and 885sp I have hung up my cape. This DLC is proof that the end is here, not nigh, here. They are trying to squeeze as much cash out of the player base before they pull the plug. I hate the thought of it dying and it hurts to walk away but I cannot support the direction that the Devs are going, it's a slap in the face to those of us who have ground out the game over several years.

This game lost its allure and engagement when TC's entered the formula. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the combat is 2nd to none and the flexibility of creating your character is still pretty good. I gave up being pissed and chasing SP's and it's made the game that much enjoyable. I've kept my expectations low and it's paid off. Blood Will Run for life. ~ Niqrot

City of Heroes Homecoming is pretty much your only other option but it does get boring as you can only make a character for specific types of content as the game has dmg types. So if you're strong against some things you will automatically die against other dmg types. This does enforce playing in teams but it hinders the average solo player massively. I do miss those days in dcuo too, guides were easy to find and could easily be relied on. Btw don't forget Balkan lol

I feel like the biggest things that could work to bring people back is to maybe not 2.0 but Warframe had a HUGE resurgence when they reworked core components! I feel like a refresh on movement as a rough example could be awesome! Star Trek online added a 'shooter toggle' that you hit a button and the MMORPG like DCUO turns into a third person shooter!

I played this game from 2011 to 2016. I playing for a couple of years until my brother told me the game went free with episode content and i started playing again for episode 42 up until now. Since coming back it was like a new game with the introduction of allies and artifacts and ive had a blast for the most part. I say all this because ive never really been that negative towards dcuo (besides marketplace prices and time capsule odds). All that aside, this dlc has to singlehandedly be the worst thing this game has ever released. Worst world map and missions ever, super cringe dialogue, severe glitches (looking at you miracle) episode 47 gear in dlc, and YOU CAN BUY DLC TOKENS. this is up there with suicide squad imo, This was truly sad to experience. Long rant but i had to say it, if you read this, thanks and have a good day. 😊👍

All I want them to do is to add some simple things like take every style from the daily log in rewards and add it to the marketplace so they can start making money that way instead of selling currency to the new DLC. I would also like them to increase the base item limit from 700 to 1,000.

The open world is a disaster at best. 2 things that would go a long way with getting players back is to make Stat Clamping optional and to lock Artifacts so swapping is impossible. Swapping undermines everything they tried to accomplish with the clamp and is breaking the game. My entire league quit after Stat Clamp went live. Many, many players quit between Revamp and The Clamp. Want those players back? There's 2 things that would go a long way to bring them back.

Everything in the open world missions is designed to waste players' time. From not being able to pick up missions in one place to having weekly missions spread that don't end with knocking out the boss it seems like it's intended to artificially lengthen playing time so they can have better "engagement" stats. It's incredibly short sighted and stupid. The devs have forgotten this is a GAME, it's supposed to be fun. The dumbest thing a dev can do is to sacrifice player enjoyment to achieve some metric.

The open works in my opinion is terrible. I personally don't want to travel the map to find missions, also not being able to compete a mission unless playing multiple times is not fun at all. This episode is an absolute joke. It's a mess. The quests are all over the place, like they decided to just drop the NPCs in random spots and call it a day. The second gear set is completely re-used from Episode 47. The omnipotent gear piece isn't even available and is currently bugged. The voice acting sucks. The animations are terrible. And the big elephant in the room...they added the ability to purchase episode currency for $200...it's clear they didn't care for this episode and rushed it out as quickly as possible to milk as much money as possible. They're not responding and they even blocked me on twitter for calling them out for this shit. The open world missions are just so grindy and slow as fuck and you have to fly all over the place it's such a mess...this is beyond a joke. They've shown their true colours with this episode

The game is getting worse for me. Recurring glitches when a specific teammate's character gets stuck somewhere in the run, but when I look at the mini map they're still going, and everyday the chat channels desynchronize so one or more channels stay all together while the rest keeps coming until you lose access to group chat or LFG. Also, sometimes my base gets some kind of lag that stops me from breaking stuff, so I have to leave and go back. All of that since the other update.

It’s not up to one player or any player(s) to “make dc a better game”. Players can make dc a better community but that has no influence on content, dev decisions, etc. especially since the devs have BEEN out of touch with the community for a while now. Most dev decisions have not been in the best interest of the players and I can’t help but feel that that is one of the main contributing factors in the lack of engagement and thus the downward spiral of the game. With every financial cash grab they take away a f2p aspect like with wolfpacks introduced it likely that we never see 2X artifact xp, and now with purchasable currency it’s likely that we never see 2X/3X marks. The soul of this game has been deteriorating since time capsules imo and i honestly wouldn’t mind if it got scrapped tomorrow

Covid time was the highest population for my league. Found them at the beginning of lockdown. We Al l still chill in party chat and all but we’ve all mostly migrated from DC. I’m the most devoted and still get in but even as of recently I’m playing other shit and just giving DC my bare bones attention. It’s really sad cause I love my characters and I still love the game at its core. They just keep digging themselves deeper and deeper into a grave. If Save the Universe happens, I think it would have to be in November because that's about the only time there is a break in seasonal event cycle. Testing server is a preview server, they might make small simple changes but they aren't going to add mechanics or make large changes to the way the episode is set up. The biggest thing they do is visual adjustments for photosensitive people which has been done on Terrorium and this latest open world. Changing the visuals of the open world was also the only feedback that was addressed from testing feedback, a dev directly responded to it and made the change. It'd be nice if testing server was still for testing but that's just not the way it is now.

Play Final Fantasy XIV. It's a far superior MMO and the dev team has won awards for their level of communication with the players.

There is so far no communication from the dev's because it doesn't gain money,which is the only thing they care about,when they say a thank you,it is only a formality,they can say they care about players,their actions prove otherwise! Btw,with what the price is for 500 currency,players could get 2 Wolfpack tokens for that amount.

You don’t have to buy the aug you have to complete the solo and it gives you them like normal but why you have to do the solo to get them now is a mystery to me

Ya know, there are private servers that can be made for MMOs (Ragezone). Black Desert Online has several that work independently from the official server but it's not legal. My point is EG7 took over and is killing our game and had they not bought Day Break we wouldn't be in this position. So, in short, they came out of left field and killed our game. It's our game. So yeah, private servers.

Finally DELETED it, arts and allies ruined the sp factor and now they have ruined the in game currency this game has become like a mobile game and its getting worse. Old obsidianchill needs to come back and shoot at dc for all this shit 😅

there's no expectations to be had on this game for a long time chill, this is the reality this game is cooked, they putting the dlc currency on the marketplace feels like a final cash grab before the ship sinks, but imo i think they can sink further if they put renown for sale too.

ngl I would play this game more often when I could transfer my account from playstation to pc but u cant... The Laggs on the Console version are really bad and u cant really swap arts like u wanna do. Pls bring the option to transfer the accounts

I feel you man its tough when you realize something you enjoy for so long is finished and time to move on youre looking for devs to respond to show you they are still invested in keeping it going, but all signs are telling you the exact opposite. I will be sad to see this game go and even a bit angry that daybreak allowed it to die when with the right group could have been remade into something new and better the potential this game has is enormous. I even joked once that someone needs to contact elon and get him onboard with a dcuo remake elon musk is an avid gamer. For a while now i have been becoming disenfranchised with the thing i used to love doing more than anything the last 30+ years of my life but current game development and even game culture is frankly garbage all these kids today care about is solo play and cosmetics basically turned video games into digital barbies for a bunch of larpers. Then you add in game purchases, pay to play, hackers, cheats, cross play, but most of all the gamers themselves today alergic to pvp because they suck at games and are only there to look cool kills off pvp which was literally the entire effing reason for online gaming like why are you playing online video games if not to play with or against other ppl ffs. Its a tough thing to have to admit to ones self when something youve enjoyed and invested so much of yourself into is over and not gonna be ok I kept coming back to dcuo because it was one of the few games out there i still enjoyed playing if its finished i honestly dont know what or even if i played another video game and that hurts to say because it is the only entertainment ive had for a long time lifes gonna get pretty boring.

As a long time player it is becoming way too depending on pay to win or pay to participate there are always releasing new artifacts and everything like that but they barely give you any gold I logged on today and it's been nothing but crash to where I just turned it off

There is an augment grant mission that popped for me, but I'm not sure why it popped. I had achieved multiple things that could have triggered it (CR, missions, etc) but I didn't have to pay for the first two augments.
