Considering that Ken starts Shippu in the parry stance animation, meaning it transitions flawlessly if you confirm off a parry, I'm going to say that the Evo Moment 37 reference is intentional. Tbf, the dragon form in Fates doesn't have much to do with controlling water beyond Azura helping Corrin. The energy/water blast that Corrin uses does come from their dragon fang animation, but the dragon itself doesn't have much to do with controlling water especially in those types of torrents used in smash. There is like a splash of water when the dragon appears on the field though, so that may have also inspired the torrents.

Fire emblem heroes is also kinda explicit in that Corrin can use water as whenever they have a dragon alt, their default attack is very water based. One thing I want to point out about Corrin's Final Smash is that while it is true how he/she doesn't use water magic while in Dragon form, the Dragon Fang Shot (Neutral Special) does use magic water as in his/her critical hit animation with the skill Dragon Fang activated. Another thing to add to it (While might be considered non-canon) is that Kana (Corrin's child) in Fire Emblem Heroes possesses Water Breath as a weapon which looks similar to how Corrin sprays a torrent of water in his/her Final Smash.
@infernousgaming1393 Жыл бұрын

Hey, be nice to Corrin! They actually use water attacks in their game, it's not only from Azura. Both Azura and Corrin have Slent Dragon blood in them (they're cousins), which gives them their water abilities. Even before you see Corrn fully transform into a dragon from grief (since their mom just died in front of them, and a lot of people where hurt due to a sword Corrin was carrying), they use Dragon Claw with it's water effects in a scripted battle against another character. Corrin's water powers makes total sense, their dragon transformation makes sense. Fates's writing might be shit, but I'm tired of people shitting on the game and gloss over the actual info you get in the game lmao

During the plot of ff7, you discover that sephiroth was always in the northern cave, because when he was defeated in the mako reactor of nibelheim, he fell into the lifestream. I mean, its pretty obvious that is the lifestream, because in the sequence when Cloud is traveling through a tunnel, we can clearly see those green effects that represents the flow of the Lifestream (also seen when the meteor is stopped after holy failed). So when cloud sees a hand after defeating Sephiroth with omnislash, he is surrounded by the lifestream again and Aerith's melody sounds, so it means that is actually Aerith's hand helping him to get out, which contrast later as I said with Tifa's hand. Is also revealed in a novel that Aerith also helped Tifa to find Cloud's mind when they fell in the lifestream, and is because of that that she was able to help cloud to recover his mind. If you ask me, it might not be that obvious that is the lifestream at all, but many details clearly indicate it actually is, beeing the most vital Aerith's presence, and the meaning of her death.

You should enjoy it for it's overall plot composition, it's characters, it's setting, or, in the case of video games, the gameplay itself. This is a bit strawman-y since you specified you would've enjoyed it MORE, not that you subsequently didn't enjoy it, so I want to make it clear I am not so much addressing you in specific as I am using this youtube comment as a jumping-off point to rant about a pet peeve. Ryu's Shin Shoryuken actually has hitboxes in case you MISS the first uppercut. The animation is very similar to the base Shoryuken. It SEEMS to be a multihit, but since I've never seen it actually hit that part, I have no idea how accurate this is. I think I visualized it too.

For Robin's final smash, if you use it against Chrom on his last stock, you can get a victory screen with Chrom saying "My strength is yours." I guess that could count as a special voice line

Ryu actually has 3 final smashes😳 if you do it after up throwing at a certain timing you get a kind of buggy combination of his 2 final smashes. DK whether it's intentional or not

One odd inaccuracy about Inkling's final smash is that in Splatoon using a special refills your ink to full, but it doesn't do this in smash. Not really sure why, considering other final smash's refill resources for characters such as Robin's tombs and levin sword.

Spoiler reasons aside, one of the reasons why Im also not particularly in favor of Shulk's Final Smash is that it comes off rather unfaithful. While I do understand that its done to save time, having all characters attack at the same time in a blank background makes everything fall into a blur. If they wanted to make it more accurate they could have made it so that they take turns consecutively as it is in the game. So in the end as it is now, while it is supposed to be a Chain Attack, it doesnt really ressemble one at all.

Interesting note about the Grand Cross, in Harmony of Despair (a "clipshow" style game featuring various stages and bosses their themed around and various player characters from across the Castlevania series) it appears as a type of move called a "dual crush", which is a special move that can only be performed in multiplayer while two players are standing near eachother playing as two of a certain set of characters. For the Grand Cross, that set of characters is Jonathon Morris, Julius Belmont, and Richter Belmont, who are all the wielders of the Vampire Killer in the game... except for Simon, who is in the game in his 8-bit form. Notably, however, he cannot perform _any_ dual crush, which is also true for another 8-bit character, Getsu Fuma from the Getsu Fuma Den games, likely because of animation issues. So it's possible that, if he were given a 32-bit sprite like the rest of the cast, he might have been able to use it in that game. That said, while looking all this up to confirm my memory I found a gif of Simon using it in Judgement located on the castlevania wiki, in the animation gallery on the page for Grand Cross.

20:33 there's actually a pretty good explanation for this, but since it's a big spoiler Imma just give a warning for those who haven't played the metroid series enough you ok with spoilers? ight. so, in super metroid(snes, duh) throughout the game, you'll encounter some little aliens, that different from everything else in the game, actually help you learn new abilities you collect, as a type of tutorial; a really cool dynamic tutorial. so, at the end of the game, when you're escaping the planet before it blows up in typical metroid fashion, you can actually choose to save the little animals trapped in a hidden room, if you have enough time, and that actually matters *a lot* , because in the next game, metroid fusion(gba), you also have to escape the planet(?) before it explodes, but you're stopped before arriving at your ship by an omega metroid; and after killing it with the help of the sa-x, your ship comes out of nowhere and rescues you right before everything explodes, with the aliens you rescued before, piloting the ship(don't ask how tho). so, the ship in ridley's final smash was probably being piloted by the aliens; before they all died of course, cuz they're definitely dead after that big laser

There is actually something you missed regarding Shinku Hadoken. In Smash, it has a vacuum effect, sucking in enemies that get too close to the fireball, which it distinctly lacks in Street Fighter. This is actually based on the move's name, where one of the ways that 'Shinku' can be read is 'Vacuum'.

Spoilers for Fates, but... Not only are Corrin and Azura actually cousins, but in Corrin's dragon form, he's shown with water effects around him all the time as part of his animations. Dragonfang, a skill he can get at a certain level, is where many of Corrin's non-final Smash abilities come from, during which, he partially becomes that dragon form. When he uses this skill during a ranged attack, he does fire that water ball thing he uses in his Neutral Special, so there is examples of him using "water magic" type stuff. Not on the scale of his final smash and not while fully in his dragon form (except for in an unused ranged animation for that form), but there is still some precedent for this.

I feel like if they wanted to include Fiora (which was dumb because did the spoiler and should’ve been regular Fiora) they could just make it so the two characters that appear in the Chain Attack change. And then make it so Fiora ONLY appears with Reyn. Or possibly even Dunban too to make it less suspicious and since Dunban and Fiora or siblings it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that they would fight together. Other wise the character can be any of the party members EXCEPT mecha Fiora and ONLY 3 in total including Shulk.

The Mecha Fiora complaint is interesting to me because the Gray Fox spirit/trophy spoils a very similar reveal in MGS1, albeit it matters more to the very miniscule audience that played the MSX Metal Gears first.

a note on corrin's final smash, and how you said they don't use any water based magic in their own game while true, corrin's dragon form has animated water around it when it moves in battle, as well as anything directly related to the origin of corrin's dragon form (azura's magic singing shit, and anankos) also having water visuals

Simon should had stopped time with the Stopwatch, trhow holy water at the enemy three times (you can use subweapons three times maximum if you get a certain item in classicvania style Castlevania games) throw three crosses and then finnish the enemy off by using the fire whip on the enemy (in the infamous Simon's Quest you can upgrade your whip to the last level wich is a fire whip, and Simon is the first Belmont to use a fire whip, Cristopher Belmont used a whip that made a fire ball, not a fire whip) all in a really cool cinematic final smash.

Pair Up actually didn't need to change to have a new character! In Fire Emblem Awakening, you could battle ten-character teams from other players through the Outrealms, which are hinted to be alternate dimensions/timelines! In that, Chrom and Robin can, in fact, fight themselves!
