Water is literally at the bottom of wells. Why wouldn't it be there? I think the Waterfall in the Kokiri Forest came from the Lost Woods.

A lot of games have water systems that don't make sense.

Given the apparent elevation difference, I'd have to assume that Hyrule Castle probably pumps water up from the main river to supply it, rather than the river running directly through it. Not that we see where in town the river goes through. But the royal family clearly does have the technology, given the courtyard has a number of fountains present. The real odd duck here is Lake Hylia. The Gerudo River's flow doesn't seem reduced in Adult Link's time, but it seemingly doesn't even make it to Lake Hylia by then. And although my natural assumption would be that the lake is also heavily supplied directly from Zora's Domain, the fact that the water level rises again without being fed by either of these sources is truly bizarre.

Hmm you do bring up some great points, but sometimes it might just be Nintendo magic for the stuff that doesn’t make sense loll

Amazing video! I've played Ocarina of Time on Dolphin a while back. Never actually took the time to think about the interesting geography. I suppose a theory could be how they need to reduce code when programming the game for the N64 to make the game somewhat playable. Still with that said, keep the content rolling! Consider doing an episode about the water system in Mario Sunchine!

You can play Oot on dolphin? I thought it was only for Gamecube and Wii games?
@lathesangiriharan22953 күн бұрын
@@zapunknownNow that I think about it, it might actually be a different emulator rather than dolphin. It was like 7 years back so not the freshest memory in the world.

You missed the second tiny waterfall in Gerudo Valley, not impressed, heck you can even see it in SSBU
@Gamerdeen3602 күн бұрын
Actually I did see that one late into editing but was too lazy to add it in lol. For that one I would probably assume another bifurcation occurs during the area from Hyrule Field to Gerudo Valley, splitting it up to create the tiny waterfall. For the one on the other side, it might come from some other water source not notable in the game. Thanks for pointing it out though! Any thoughts on my on the spot analysis? Lol

Isn't this just a ripoff of anyaustin's series on water in video games?
@Gamerdeen3603 күн бұрын
I would say I took inspiration from it, but yeah I suppose AnyAustin does pretty similar content.

Everyone gets inspiration somewhere. Dude still had to go through and do the footwork and gather the footage himself
