Excellent work.wooden ships are a different beast than plastic kits. I saw your chat with Harry H and I must complement you on your English. You speak it very well. I think the phrase you were looking for is “they know how to push my buttons”.

You can get small brass pedestals would be more the size to match your ship and base... but the way you stained the cradle works rather nicely. I need to get some of that Sapeli stain from Occre.

Looking great so far Alex. Those things you call pin racks are the channel boards for the hooks which the deadeyes attach to and form the ratlines. They also attach to the side of the hull, not the top-rail. Otherwise the ratlines pull from the masts would rip up the railing. Where the instructions wrong?

If you ever decide to do another, I recommend the ZHL golden edition black pearl. Better quality parts and lazer cut/etched wood. I've done an occre kit before and while they're quality is still good, not as much as zhl

I have been watching the build and I am thoroughly enjoying it it's looking beautiful my friend as always !! You are a very talented individual don't ever cut yourself short of that!! WW2 so your wooden ship is a lot like my aircraft I would like to try a ship someday it looks quite enjoyable I believe I would like it I love building my aircraft! I build all types cars planes boats figures!! I especially love in my figure category the old horror classics Frankenstein The invisible Man the werewolf the Bride of Frankenstein creature from the Black lagoon all of those even sci-fi I get a great deal of enjoyment out of the hobby that you and I seem to love dearly that is why I enjoy watching you build your subjects it's very peaceful and relaxing while I am building on mine I will watch you as I'm going along it's almost like heaven a good friend there with me!! So thanks again for all you do peace and God bless you and yours ✌️🙏🍻
