I loved Episode Thirteen. I think you'll dig it. As for John Silence... well, Blackwood's top shelf for me and the Silence stories are among his best.

I just finished the first story in the John Silence series and I really enjoyed it. Started the second one and it seems he has a thing with cats, which I kinda love. His writing is very picturesque and almost dreamlike in the way he writes. I’m excited to finally get to Episode Thirteen, that one has been sitting on my shelf for a while now.☺️📚

I have heard of Warlock Holmes but haven't read any of them. Maybe someday... Craig DiLouie!! I just read a book by him and absolutely loved it!! Definitely adding Episode Thirteen to my list! I meant to pick out some Occult Detective novels for October but went overboard with a bunch of horror that I picked up because of your reviews. lol ;p Maybe I can squeeze one in somewhere. Best of luck on your reads!! :)

It's a fun genre to get into, I was surprised by how much falls under its umbrella.😊🕵️♀️

Occult is very interesting. My favorite to with stuff like that would probably be Saw. It’s detective but also very cult like in nature and dark almost occult. But I love the mystery’s of them. Who’s good. Who’s bad. And are the bad ones truly the bad ones.
