Occupy Wall Street: GETTING MONEY OUT OF POLI-TRICKS

This is my contribution to the Occupy Wall Street/Occupy Worldwide movement. Although much has been said about there being no cohesive agenda emanating from the throngs, I disagree. But, in the spirit of unity, I offer an element of the overall strategy to be pondered by the 99%. Stay strong and know that WE HEAR YOU!
The people united, will never be defeated! The people united, will never be defeated! The people united, will never be defeated!

I have a great speech by Ron Dellums from around 1990 that I don't know how to upload but in past I made many cassette copies to share. In it he talks about his long struggle to even be taken seriously in the Congress and why he bothered. Serving in Congress is a learning process and you are facing the hugest, wealthiest, nastiest, most lying Power there is. When anyone says "term limits" I think of that speech and say "no term limits".

I knew the trolls were gonna come out for this one. How could they refrain themselves? :-) Isn't moderation wonderful? You can STILL have intelligent conversations with those with opposing viewpoints without allowing the absurd to even see the light of day! I just LOVE IT!!!

As we were told in Civics class, it's the "living, breathing constitution" that makes our governmental system superior to others - that makes change possible without violent coups. What they DON'T emphasize is that ONLY the powers that be CAN change it - the 1% and NOT the 99%.

@Wyvrnauctor I understand that the PROJECTION the U.S. wants the world to see is that all classes here are equal, but it's not entirely true. Paul Ryan (R. - Wisc.) recently criticized the Pres. for acknowledging that the "99%" protesting have legitimate issues. He's from the antiquated poli-trickal school that media friends and poli-trickans should coalesce around stratagems for mind-control of the masses. This school STILL believes that "there IS no class war until we acknowledge it"! SMH!

@grandmachristine42 While I can certainly see how one might be cajoled into the notion that a "white knight" needs extended time to battle the "entrenched forces of evil" in Congress; my contention is that - were the "entrenched evil" swept away from the stage, there would be need for neither "proffered good" nor "proffered bad" to linger in Congress. The longer one stays the more powerful he becomes. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely...

@MrAdwolfe1 Thanks. Be mindful that with money out of politics - and I see this plan as a way for it's ouster - the two party system also crumbles. The ONLY reason the Democrats and Republicans monopolize our system is BECAUSE they're the only ones financially capable of getting their message out. Removing the money - the ONLY factor that elevates the voice of the 1% over the 99% - evens the playing field, making other existing and future parties equally viable!

@JeanneMcFadden Thanks.I just believe it is imperative that the 99% realize that equal representation under the law is not possible unless the money element is removed from poli-tricks. Defining the problem and its elements allows for the fruitful adoption of mechanisms/means for change. Otherwise, we allow the corporate-owned media like CNN and MSNBC to "frame the issue" - as I was taught in law school [never practiced]. When someone else frames the issue, you've already lost the debate!

@Wyvrnauctor Criticism is welcome. My criticism seems "less credible" to you because you ONLY have the propaganda to go with. The teaching of constitutional history posits the "founding fathers" as being concerned with the plight of the whole - the union. They WERE concerned for the union because the WHOLE was necessary for the few - landowning aristocracy - to continually prosper. Those who know the WHOLE of U.S. history know that class has ALWAYS been a dividing factor here...

I don't mean to sound overly critical, especially as some of your grievances are solidly based on reality... BUT by using terms like poli-trickans, poli-tricks and your tirade about people divided always being deleted... It makes you seem a little less credible. I'm getting familiar with the U.S constitution as I plan to emigrate. To be honest though the current state of affairs is much better than several hundred years ago.
