There's a distinction to draw between the thoughts that define you and create your personal value system that defines who you are and the random thoughts that might pop into your head.

Here's my mom's story. My mom (54 yrs old)with a severe OCD has isolated herself for 2 years straight without stepping out of her apartment, refusing to accept any medical treatments and ain't letting me or anyone visit her or answer the phone. Her condition started to settle about 10 years ago when she couldn't work anymore and the symptoms became uncontrollable in the past two years. I remembered that she suddenly asked me to stop eating because she thought there's something wrong with the dish when we were out eating. She continues to imagine and think what'd go wrong if she goes out and so on. My parents were divorced when I was 10, she's been with my stepfather since I was around 14, now I'm turning 27. I just really don't know what to do now, I need help! I know she's suffering, but I don't see the way out at all!

gotta love all the awareness that's doing no good for people when they can't afford the damn treatment... So we suffer because we can't afford it... And eventually just sit back wait till the day comes when you can't handle it anymore and you decide to bite a bullet...

Well, that's also why they're trying to also bring awareness to online programs that can help too. Programs that are free.

I have existential ocd probably. I just cant stop thinking if i really hear see and even feel the real things. Sometimes it pops into my mind if even the people whom i am talking to are even real and what if not. Sure i am trying to neutralise these things. I am also affraid if they are true that I am completely alone in this world. It is really terrible. I am affraid imaginating that i will ever completely believe these thoughts and be crazy. I am now taking zoloft 150mg, before i was taking 100mg. I think it helped a lot but now in this corona crisis it started again. Im also taking neurol 0,25 for anxiety for two days now. I am not sure if these helps. It happened to me many times in my life even when I didn’t take any medics. Very interesting is that these thoughts went time to time away and I was completely without symptomes for one year and then it started again. I am sometimes affraid i am going to be crazy. I also have the some kind of hypochondria. When i find something unusual on my body i just must check it almost all day long. This “what if” illness is terrible.
