1:47 "Like a suitcase the size of a carry-on bag." I read that they did this exactly on purpose. That means, if a bag fits in the Model 3 frunk, you can carry it on a plane.
@PrivateEyeYiYi7 жыл бұрын
Different airlines don't have the same carry on size limit. If it fit in an M3 frunk, it might fit one airline's maximum size, but it might be too big for another's.

OK, Donald Trump. I'll respond to your points. My response is: Let's see a source, cause I think you're spouting bullshit. Batteries are recycled, and can be made from recycled metals. Yes, new batteries need a few pounds of metals per car, but I don't think that mining of cobalt or lithium is as energy intensive as you claim.

Yea, electric cars aren’t overpriced like normal cars in the netherlands, a BMW x6 is starting from 99.200,00 in the netherlands but in germany it’s starting from 71.000,00 that’s 30,000 euros more for the exact same car. you can buy a used 3 series for that money... It’s extremely overpriced because of a dumb CO2 law...

Good video. This is the first time I've seen a video tour of the model 3. Besides being electric, I think the all glass roof is the coolest feature, and I'm also surprised by how much space there is in the back--seems really practical. From some angles the extra space maybe makes the car look disproportionate, but the front at least looks cool. The key card and door buttons, though, seem cheap, not to mention inconvenient. I'm curious about electric for my next car, but I'm not sure there's enough value there to justify the higher price. Anyway, I wish you success with your business.
@dlwatib7 жыл бұрын
The owner will mostly use the bluetooth on his smartphone to enter the car and start it. He has the card in his wallet to give to somebody like this service guy to use. He wouldn't want to give him his cell phone! It should actually be more convenient than a big fat key fob since it's one less thing to carry around in a pocket or purse and make an unsightly bulge where you don't want your clothes to bulge.

Those Aero wheel covers would be the first thing that come off the car! There is actually a nice aluminum finished wheel under there. :) You can probably repurpose those Aero wheel covers as Frisbees... I bet the would fly well. :)
@LoanwordEggcorn7 жыл бұрын
The Aero wheel cover adds about 10% range. Reference: electrek.co/2017/08/22/tesla-model-3-aero-wheels-can-increase-efficiency-vp-engineering/ The Model 3 has a very low drag coefficient and small changes like the wheel covers can make a big difference in overall drag. I plan to paint the wheel covers silver.
@Dude314637 жыл бұрын
Loanword Eggcorn ... Interesting... I didn't realise they add that much range. Hard to believe until someone proves it out in the field... It's just that I have this nasty allergic reaction around wheel covers... I brake out in hives. :-/ Now retractable mini skirts is something I might entertain for the cause. ;)
@Dude314637 жыл бұрын
Karen Pease ... The classic Citroen DS addressed the low hanging fruit very well IMO... That car was an engineering & design tour de force for it's day and beautiful... The Model S actually often reminds me of the DS from some angles... I agree to your point of efficiency where ever it can be found in any amount. The evolution of the EV will be interesting as the motors migrate into the wheels themselves and the friction brakes shrink to non existence where much of the steering can be done via torque vectoring @ each wheel and inner suspension geometry allowing for a more streamlined body.
@Lovejazz017 жыл бұрын
Dude31463 they made them easy to remove and put back on so you can leave them off around town and when you go on a road trip you put them on and maximize your range..
@Espiritiv7 жыл бұрын
They add "up to" 10 % range in optimum conditions...closer to 5% i bet. Good for road trips. Removable when you are driving around mall crawing.
@michaelhewell62787 жыл бұрын
Love this car! Can’t wait to see what you do with this one. From a design standpoint I wish there was something that unified the dash, console, and doors together. @GoodwinPhotoBlog7 жыл бұрын
Karen Pease maybe I wasn’t clear there... storage inside the cabin. Model 3 has rear consul, center consul up front, storage in arm rest up front, storage in back doors, looked like storage behind the front seats and glove box. Our model S has the glove box and that’s it. Some things I’d like to stored in the car with me and not in the Trunk or frunk.

What will complete the tesla model 3 or any model is a heads up display option on the windscreen.
@CortezEspartaco27 жыл бұрын
I was thinking woah, that's a lot of space in the trunk. Then he lifted up the lid to the second compartment and I was genuinely astonished at how much area they managed to make in there. It's not an irregular shape like in most gas cars, either. They're almost perfectly rectangular, with no weird edges jutting out to fit gas lines into. I don't think anyone can complain that it lacks cargo space, for sure. For me personally, I would like to see an option where that lower compartment is replaced with more batteries. Longer range AND more weight in the back for better RWD traction. Still, it's amazing how roomy this car is.

@LoanwordEggcorn7 жыл бұрын
+Paresh Panchal Yes, but it's much harder to see speed change with a digital readout than an analog indicator. Also I can read speed on an analog gauge very easily. Being able to see the rate of change of speed is useful when accelerating and deccelerating.
@LoanwordEggcorn7 жыл бұрын
