Hey man. I have never had that issue. Start by checking your fluid levels, (coolant/ oil )The Raptor is sensitive to low oil levels I know that.

Yea I flushed it and put a new thermostat in and ended having to take it out on the highway to az to get me there but started to even get hot with it out

I ended up getting a quick setup hub tent. Best decision ever a fraction of the cost of rooftop tent and I can stand and walk around. Only takes a min or 2 to set up and brake down. Don't get me wrong I love rtt but this was easier on the wallet and made camping more approachable for my wife.

I have a JL Rubicon with 55k. Ts been though 7 states (most of them a couple times) towing a trailer and crawling 7’s and 8’s (without the trailer). These things are beasts and far more reliable then the Toy Boys think.
