We're locals looking for some kind of record of the aftermath from these crazy King Tides. This one was *not* normal, BTW! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. Glad you guys were cautious and still had fun! Best New Year wishes to you and your delightful family!

I really enjoyed watching your video. Glad you remained safe. I feel bad for those that lost their gear to the ocean.

Well done getting out ! I really like your camping setup. Great video ! However .... it beggars belief that people were queued up with massive RVs and huge 6 wheel caravans to get down onto the beach as you were leaving, when so many others were already stranded and damaged, and when conditions were about to get so much worse with the coming storms, high tides, and massive waves. Insurance generally doesn't cover people when they act with such reckless stupidity.

Wow, definitely nice to have a camper, easy to move. Back in the 90s my mom and I had a 2 Wheel drive 1968 three-quarter ton ford pick up with a full-size camper on it. Never got stuck, went out there twice in the summertime, had a great time. We even pulled a little bike trailer with two quads in it. I’m sure this time we would’ve got flooded.

Should do a video on the clamming. I heard about it on the Pismo beach side but I went there to wheel my Tacoma and didn't have time go to Pismo to look for clams.

It sort of crazy that people go camping, hiking, swimming, running, without a weather report on the area they are going to do outdoor activities at. Wasn’t there a warning in effect like a weather almanac? Then lots of people don’t take to the warning waves, and just sit there in their campers and trailers? I know when we get ready to go hunting big game, we go with a weather almanac, change our camping site and area if needed. We watch the clouds, the temperature, wind, change. It’s just common sense.😊😮😂

Get off the dunes/beach while you can. Or get to higher ground asap. Risk being swept out to sea.

Dont forget to hit the car wash and spray off all the sand and saltwater. It will cause damage.

Dopes. You can't fix stupid. The officials should have closed the beach days prior to the dire warning of big surf. The campers can't think for themselves.

You gotta have 4 wheel drive, and air down your tires to 12 to 14 psi. All 4 tires. Or 6. Goodluck dont become a victim.

If people get advice about high tides during the morning hr, why do Park Soo close the edge. Make no sense. Pismo beach is a dump, not sure why people even go there... 😂😂
