Octoballoon Weapon Duping

Glitch source: twitter.com/satougashi020/status/1409870477770727430?s=19 How: 1. Go up against a wall 2. Magnesis drop an octoballoon 3. Unequip the weapon you want to dupe 4. Unpause and pause the game in quick succession 5. Drop the weapon 6. Press B > A in very very quick succession, as in slide your thumb from B button to A button in like 2 frames. As you exit the menu, you should be able to take the weapon at the same time. LetMeThinkOfAUsername has been helping me in doing these glitches~

Are you supposed to click B and then double click A?

Nvm I got it, you do press A two times, but only the first time has to be fast tho, so it would be B and sweep over to A, then A again just at a normal pace.

Fascinating. While I’ll still probably prefer a menu overload for duping because it doesn’t require strict timing, this could be a really easy way to get the required bows for said menu overload on a new file. No more grinding for several 5-shot Lynels. Plus it’s really difficult to dupe bows even with a menu overload, since bows are what activate it and it gets real finicky there. So this will be useful even after getting what you need for that.

Yes! To acquire just one multi-shot bow instead of going through the hassle of killing lynels or seeking to look out for more, it'll be a lot easier now if you think about it.

I mean, you can do the initial menu overload with two (different) multishot bows and at least one bow mount in Link’s house. That way you can get the 5+ you need to consistently overload the menu later on.

@@cheke_hs That’s true. Personally though, the two bow only method seemed too inconsistent for me. But whatever works for everyone~

It’s doing fall damage cancel inputs against a wall. I’ve tried doing it before but my thumbs hurt by the end and I wasn’t successful at it lol
