Hey Bestie I’m in the same boat as you are. This past week I got the news of being laid off. It was a devastating blow and I never thought that it would happen in healthcare!! But it did!! I have faith and I know that God has worked it out for me. November 28th will be my last day, just wrapping my head around everything and trying to get it all in order while I’m standing on God’s word!! Stay strong 💪 greater things are yet to come 💜💜We got this!!

I just spent the last few hours working with my son putting together both of our October budgets. I got some prop money and we put it into envelopes and wrote everything down. He handled it better than I feared. It’s going to be awesome to see how it turns out in a month.

Check with employment office. Some states won’t pay unemployment benefits until your severance is exhausted. It might not work the way you think. Check ahead of time.

Are you actively applying for jobs right now? There may be companies looking to hire in Q4. You can always give them a start date that works for you. I always thought severance was paid lump sum two weeks to a month after termination. Definitely call the HR contact they should have given you to see exactly how the remaining funds will be disbursed.
