I noticed a little mistake on your part, you said that to get the Captain's Badge one has to travel to Saintsbridge and inquire with an old man in the cathedral. However, you actually need to visit Goldshore's cathedral and inquire with Bishop Donovan to finish the quest. On a side note, the quest isn't called "Donovan's Status", but rather "Back with Bale". Still, thank you for taking your time to inform us about this method. I would have just kept grinding in a level 58 area, but if I can encounter entire groups of Caits I will gladly move to a level 45 area.

You can replace Surpassing Power with Boost Start to be almost guaranteed to get a 1 hit KO with H'aanit. You can also give Primrose Starseer because Starseer can easily kill all enemies with one skill as well. I used those two and Cyrus to level in the Forest of Purgation (or only Cyrus and H'aanit when levelling 2 other characters).

The cait family isn't worth it, because it's so rare in my opinion. I think that the forest of purgation is better because you average about 1500 per encounter

Your method could be significantly improved by using the Sorcerer. Speed + 80 for him so that he goes first and then just boost 2 times and use the wind skill. You also get the break experience boost from it and it’s much faster than your method

H'aanit has Phy Atk+ buff already. Buffing her with dancer is pointless as it's the same buff. That's just wasted time/efficiency lol

This strategy works much earlier as well with faster battles. I had Olberic with the best gear and sword I could find and someone using the hunter job. rain of arrows breaks everyone right away then a single boosted level slash from Olberic wipes out the wolves. Snow leopards may take another hit but super quick and easy to grind levels before hitting up chapter 4s and the secret job dungeons.

Assumed you have the Captain's Badge and Extra Experience for grinding. Badge of Friendship and that one other passive skill for increased JP (forgot what it was). Alluring Ribbons and Forbidden Bow is also nice for increased encounters which speeds up your grinding. (not sure if it stacks but correct me if I'm wrong) I prefer having Haanit and another hunter spamming Arrowstorms with a Sorcerer (preferably Cyrus) to get the break exp bonus and having a better chance of beating monster faster and reliably. (gives around 1.2k-1.8k exp) Cait family encounters give around 6k exp when you defeat them. Another area is the famous Forest of Purgation (located at the west of Wispermill) which is best suited once again with a Sorcerer and Warbringer Haanit (which is mainly for the dual coverage with all attacking bow and axe skills). The goats give the most exp. (gives around 1.2k-2.1k exp w/ Captain's Badge and Extra Experience support skill) Also has occasional Chubby Cait encounters so make sure to have your sorcerer around for that. I personally prefer The Maw of Ice Dragons since you kill monsters faster and have a more consistent encounter rate for the maximum amount of exp and JP. The forest works as well but I find it slower since I dont one shot everything with one character consistently enough. They are both good areas though so choose the one that you believe is better.

so for those starting end-game grinding on xbox like myself, and DONT have the adv-subclasses handy yet(got my ass handed to me at 50 by sub-class bosses for a couple hours, so i decided to retaliate vs minions for a couple more hours), currently im running a party of: (Main)/Hunter - SP Saver(critical for spamming arrowstorm), Inspiration(recovering MP after breaking everything), Second Serving(not really necessary with SP Saver), Patience(handy utility on chars who dont need passives). Armor/Accessory is geared for pure speed, to ensure consistent 1st-turn arrow storm/escape(Boss-fight/Golem+2Elemental fight arent worth the effort), if you cant consistently hit 3-volley arrowstorm, drop an speed acc for accuracy acc. Normally just spam unboosted Arrowstorm first round(boost for caits), and round two, max-boost standard-attack to recover MP for continued grind Scholar/Merchant, Merchant/Scholar(run both Tressa and Cyrus) - SP Saver, Snatch, Elemental Augmentation, and (Heightened Senses/Percipience) for both iterations, fit with SP-regen accessories, and use single-shot magic, if you have good staves and mag-atk gear, you may not even need to boost them to 2-shot targets, opening opportunities for Leaves-grinding(gold-farming) with Collect. Both are geared with best-in-slot Elem Atk gear - with above skill spread, and strat - their consumption shouldnt be higher than expenditure, saving time dicking with inventory management, if you want xp and jp instead of leaves(gp) skip the collect steps and just spam fireball(top-skill, also conveniently one of the major elemental weaknesses in zone), if you want to max out your Leaves(gp) balance, after break, hit once with fireball with first in queue, second in queue should have about 70% Collect rate on wolves(ignore the tigers, they arent worth shit, use them for SP-bank for hunter/warrior). Fit helm/chest for Elem atk/SP Regen, and Acc for SP Regen(if you didnt get it in armor)/speed, so as to have a better chance at hitting caits before they flee(boost any Scholar double-spell and hope for the best) (Fill)/Warrior - SP Saver, Inspiration, Second Serving, Patience. This characters role is to provide warrior cleave by default(could be replaced with any other AOE classes, Dancer/Cleric if they have the JP invested, and competent Elem Attack weapons after Tress'/Cyrus' needs). This character isnt out for big numbers, but rather supporting dps to up success of collect, and or finish off stragglers if Scholar/Merchant miss them. fit them with your XP/JP boosting gear, they will rarely have a shot at caits, unless you get a lucky ambush, and even then, are likely last-in-queue for ambush, and if you havent finished the caits by then, they probably didnt do their jobs anyways.... but in case Filler gets a turn vs Caits, unless they have SOLID Elem atk or a hard-hitting multi-spam (hunters arrowstorm), just use item > Soulstone(L) , as its more effective than a rare hit vs Caits massive defense/elem defense/evasion you dont need any armor other than +speed for hunter, +elem atk or +SP Regen for Sholar/merchant, and warrior literally only exists to host XP/JP badges and an under-leveled sword so as to not accidentally kill targets you want to 'Collect' from i advocate for Dual Merchant/Scholar team for a few reasons. A) Scholars have the highest hit rate(2/turn) of any base-class elemental ability. 2) widest diversity of elemental types of any of the base classes. C) Merchants 'Rest' ability clears debuffs, heals, AND restores SP, allowing them to generate constant SP mid-battle for more dps, without the need of items, DUAL-REST alleviates a lot of strain on your main healer. 4) Share BP can help you focus fire on your big-hitters, especially vs bosses who dont have the 4-basic elements(fire/ice/lightning of scholar, and wind of merchant) and burn down vulnerability by enabling more boosted-basic-attack's of allies who have relevant strengths, when coupled with Inspiration(With each successful standard attack, gain SP equal to 1% of the damage you deal) ensures Apoth has SP for big hits/first aid, Thief has SP for SP Share, Cleric has SP for revive/greater heals, as well as speed-lining max-boost class-specials. until you can get something better than Merchant/Scholar(Sorcerer/Starseer/Runelord), its a tough combo to trump in survivability/sustainability/damage/utility

This method is not efficient at all. Sorcerer alone in Forest of Purgation can easily grant the entire team with average 1500+ exp per battle. I always have one dancer in my team but I don’t use dance unless the dancer happen to be the first to move in the battle. When that happens I use dance and hope for the exp/jp buff.

Yang Li sounds like a better method to me. I get like 1700 xp each battle here (without any dancer multipliers) but the battles are about twice as long as some of the 1000 XP’s outside of everhold. I may check your method. I tend to have my dancer go first anyway and put the skill where he gets extra BP at the start and try and get multipliers there too but taking the same mindset.

You can also find the thiccc Caits in the forest. I found that that location is much better for grinding since you can pop every enemy in there with a sorcerer

I have Therion as my Sorcerer and at level 70 with the fire boosting dagger and sword, and Boost Start + BP Eater, I can one shot everything in the Forest of Purgation and Maw of the Ice Dragon (with the exception of the bosses). It makes grinding a lot faster because you never need to use other character's to do anything and when you run out of SP, you can just use Steal SP to get everything back.

im not sure its worth grinding for caits. You wonder around at lower level fights for an hour to get caits and you always have to have stones or they will flee. Seems like it would be better just to go to level 58 danger and grind there and not worry about caits

I like the effort here but you should honestly go to the forest of purgation and use the one shot Alfynn setup btw the support skills for that are: BP Eater, Surpassing power, Fortitude, And Physical Prowess. Than just equip warrior on alfynn use incite get rid of all armor equipped and let the enemies kill you. Then just flee or finish the enemies. After that use Ophelia to raise to 1 HP and give him the memorial axe and warlord and you should be able to do an average of around 30,000-40,000 damage on one charge. To get even higher than that use tressas Donate BP to get alfynns BP to 3 and then use the critical chance raiser from starseer and do 99999 DMG. Have Fun!😁. P.S. use the alluring thingy you get from different places to get enemies to come to you faster

This video is inaccurate. Sorcerer with high elem atk (900+) & +80 speed necklace will almost always go first. You can literally fire off Ignis Ardere in less than 1 second and it will vaporize every encounter in the Forest of Purgation instantly except for the big rocky boi you have a 3% chance of getting. In that case you can steal a revitalizing jam from it after using ignis ardere and still wipe it in either turn 1 or turn 2. You will level up ungodly fast this way. Use the captains badge and all that Jazz. Then equip 4 alluring ribbons and the forbidden bow to get encounters on average every 2-3 seconds. Rake in the exp 👍

Yep, I noticed that too. It's the same with Tressa/Therion. A lot of guides say you just need to finish Tressa's to get Cornelia to show up in Grandport, but Therion has to be finished too. It makes sense, Cornelia can't leave Boulderfall, until Therion's quest is finished.

There no point. It’s an extremely unreliable method, and the time you waste trying to get a multiplier could be used to get more encounters. At most you can use one Bewildering Grace if your Dancer is faster than your sweeper. Anything more than that is literally just a waste of time, considering the x100 multiplier is pretty much the only worthwhile one and the odds to get it are ridiculously low. The most important thing in grinding is always to maximize encounters. Use the equipment and passives that boost encounter rate, EXP and JP. That’s all there is to it.

Forrest is much better. Unless you can get the Caits every ten encounter, you are literally making less XP. With all my characters at 88+ I can confirm that Forest is way better than Maw. Like I said unless you can the Caits every so often, you are literally making less XP per battle.

It's often not about how much XP you get per battle, but rather how many encounters you can get in the least possible time. If you beat three Maw encounters in the same time as you beat one Forest encounter, you are better off farming in the Maw to maximize your XP gain. I have been farming in the Maw for a bit, and overall I got more XP than in the Forest. Of course, when all of your character's are over level 88, you beat one encounter in the Maw in the same time as one encounter in the Forest, so you don't get much out of it. Players that are around level 50 will appreciate the Maw much more though, since they probably are unable to beat Forest encounters as quickly as Maw encounters. Even with my team being around level 70, I keep farming at the Maw because some of the mobs there drop large soulstones, and the occasional Cait encounters give my team a nice little boost despite them being over 20 levels higher than the enemies.

+Marus At around level 70, Therion +Sorcerer with Boost Start, and BP Eater with the fire boosting sword and dagger can 1 Shot anything in the forest with Ignis.

I never said I didn't oneshot the enemies in the forest, because I do. However, as I said literally right after me stating that I was around level 70, I keep farming at the Maw because I drop large soulstones more often there than in the Forest, if I even drop any there. That alone makes me want to farm at the Maw more than in the Forest, though that's probably a silly reason to some other players. The Forest is a nice location to grind, I agree, but I do enjoy getting myself some more items while grinding.

My Ophilia is my clearer (she's able to equip all the endgame +elemental equipment with Cleric+Starseer to do really powerful Starfalls), so the only time she supports Cyrus is with the Cleric Divine double cast...which is really just for bosses. In truth Cyrus can support himself, by giving him BP Eater and BP-Start so he does super powerful casts on his first turn. Add to that Elemental Edge, and any of the Sorcerer Buffs and he can kill anything that isn't a boss in a single cast. In truth the only spells that Cyrus needs at this point are Divine spells (Cleric+Scholar+Sorcerer=Death). This takes a lot of setup, and can only be done regularly by having those three classes on three diff characters. Alfyn is also required in this setup, since he can give BP the fastest (He can give 4 BP to Cyrus every turn, without wasting BP himself).

If Alfyn is in the party you don't need BP-Start, cuz Alfyn can fill everyones BP on his first turn (build him for Speed).

NeoDMC i will try alfyn, he also have a pretty nice divine skill. Second job i was thnking hunter, because of traps :p, i might build him so he can avoid and cure status, but i think starseer can also do that, not sure. I dont use start bp, i usually cast bp boost on my dps, wait a turn and use a divine skill or a fully boosted sorcerer skill
