Octopus Crochet Pattern Tutorial

7:26 I’m new at crochet, and idk if it’s my yarn, it’s 100% acrylic with 5.5 mm, but I’m having a hard time pushing through with my hook. The single strain is fine but once I go for the half or second, I’m having to manually separate my top thread to fit my hook through. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like your tension is too tight. Try loosening your stitches a little, or try a larger hook with a softer yarn.🤞
