Oddball 50 Year Old Mower. Can we save it??

I vote for rustoration or restoration. All the original parts are still there and working. Shame to toss them to beef it up, or to mod it for racing. 🙂

Many years ago, we had a similar mower made by Huffy. 7-Horse, 30” single blade. It was built differently though. You pushed the right-hand pedal to engage the transmission. It had a three-speed too. It was our first rider.

I think a nice little race mower would be really cool and keep the original motor and the rear end. Some agriculture, rear tires would give that little thing a nice stance. Great video always enjoyed.

Great to see someone working on a lawnranger MK2/ ranger. They are really cool little horses that don't get the love they deserve, they might be small but there great fun. I'd personally restore it with the deck back on as you never see them restored in good condition.

Thanks for the kind words! I ended up getting the cabinet from Harbor Freight and did some mods to convert it from from siphon feed to gravity feed. Followed some forums posts I found on google.

Race mower use a vertical shaft engine keep the stock trans change the pulleys for faster speed and keep the patina and try to lower it.

Slam the damn thing and do some pulley swaps to make it go 40mph
