The Tiger II H SLA.16 is the best tank pound for pound in War Thunder. Nothing scares me more than this tank rounding a corner when I'm in a 5.7 to 7.7 vehicle. The armor is insane, the gun is definitely going to hurt me... and there's a LOT of them!
The Tiger II H SLA.16 is the best of the best of the King Tigers in War Thunder. It's the fastest and has additional track armour on the turret making it a little bit more tanky.
What makes this a real threat is the cannon. The Long 88 is infamously destructive. With the same penetration as British and US APDS it's got better angle performance and of course... explosive filler. It also has a fast reload and plenty of ammo to boot.
I love this tank, it's just far too good to bring on a regular basis!

Hi Odd! Amazing video as always. Long time follower. Maybe you should do a series like map guides or BR guides. I mean apart from your regular videos. I think atleast some of the people watching your videos don't know your train of thoughts, why you position yourself on certain spots, or when to play agressive, defensive. I know myself, that sometimes, I just like to see satisfying matches, but then again, whenever my brain is not too tired, I try to figure out how you do things so I can get better as well. I think a more advanced guide (not the ones like: set up your mouse scroller to adjust range blah blah blah) to War Thunder Tank RBs would be great. I'd love to get better myself at the game, even if I had just finished the german tech tree and consider myself a fairly good player. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested, not just me. I would love to know what are good spots on the map, or how you choose your positioning based on the ongoing match, how you pick your tactics; if you have a line-up of 4-5 different tanks, what would they be? How you'd go on about taking them into matches? etc.... the bigger picture. I mean if I keep pausing every 3 minutes, I can pick these up for myself in this as well, but thats kinda missing the point on watching a video without distractions. Maybe even the less attentive players could pick up a few tricks and get better. Again I love your videos. They are all amazing, you are one of the biggest inspirations for me to keep playing this game, and I'm very eager to hear your response and the community's response as well.

I personally struggle a bit with the 6.3 German lineup although I have improved greatly thanks to your videos. There are so many useful tips in your videos that have helped me greatly. Watching you play 5.7 and 6.3 Germany with the Do 335 also twisted my rubber arm into buying one... :) You also encouraged me to grind out the AD4 and I run it with a Corsair in USA and France and just loving the combo for my 6.0 lineups. You should give the Strv m/42 EH a try. That thing is an amazing medium tank at 2.7, its 75mm APHE slaps like a 90mil, it has decent armour, good mobility... All in all a really underrated tank imo. I'd love to see you play it!

The IKV 73 is a 2.7 premium that is very similar (possibly almost identical?) in both gun and chassis to the Strv m/42 EH! Sadly I don’t think it’s acquirable right now! (I personally don’t have it btw) The only kinda alternative is the IKV 72 which is the 1.7 TD with paper armour, but the same gun and equally good if not better speed. Plus has full neutral steering which can help swing the gun on target in leu of a turret!

As a German main myself that also plays USA. It's true that the best WWII tanks are in Germany TT, but they are easy to take down using bombs. If Germany loses is because: they are really bad, or CAS reduces them to oblivion (again, I played USA and America/USSR pretty much spam CAS the first 3 minutes.

Big problem is also that they are on the same tier as cold war tanks, with modern shells that easy pen the thickest armor. If i play in tiger 2 on 6.7 and lower i easy get 6 kills avarage with the tiger II. But on max uptier(what i always get) i get an avarage of 2-3 kills with the tiger.

I still remember the t25 with the stabilizer was probably the best medium tank or among the best in game for a long time and the only thing that gave it that status was that it was 6.0 and had the stab so what did gaijin do some how they found out that there was a prototype t25 that got the stab but not the standard version so they not only removed the stab they moved it to 6.3 so now it is just an up armored m36 at a battle rating that makes it worse than a sherman as far as survivability.

Tiger II especialy sla. 16 verion is one of my favourite tank in the game. Amazing gun, amazing hull armor, decent mobility, good gun elevation. Only weaknesses beeing quite one dimensional lineup, with mostly slow defensive tanks and awful/unexperienced teammates but I would say its the 3rd best heavy tank in the game tier for tier after obj 279 and KV-1 E/B.

Absolutely, The only thing that lets down German amour down are the majority of German team players. Everyone rushes to spade the nation and are too "green" to use the German advantage, I still think the nerfing of the Comet really gave it a boost as could handle the mantlet, Great wide and flat BR line ups, with SPAA to cover.

One of the earlier premiums that i bought. Got my Ass handed to me by cents left right and centre, but since they moved a lot of 7.7 and 7.3 tanks to 8.0 and i learned how to play a bit i enjoy my king tigers very much. Unfortunately for me they moved panther 2 and tiger 2 (10,5cm) to 7.0 because they made the lineup even better

The closest thing to the king tiger at 6.7 is the US T34 (which i love), and while it has good survivability and armor, it has a dozen weakspots and the King Tiger can still pen most places at close range. The Tiger ammo racks through the turret face with the 120mm is still really nice, though.

Well time to grind for a maus... These changes have brought back some of my sanity from constantly being uptiered in the tiger 2 and being swarmed by T29/30/34.

The map positioning thing is so true. When I climbed through 6.7 with germany, I suffered immensly with the king tiger. Now that I'm at 10.7 and have learned a lot about the game, I need a mental health break from russian premium cancer, so I went back through the BRs bottom up little by little, only to stick at 6.7. The King Tiger is actually consistently fun, which is really rare in WT.

ive never gotten along with the long 88 tiger 2's, the only tiger 2 i get along with is the 105 for some reason
