Should have seen Copsi on twitch a couple of days ago. He was getting nuke after nuke after nuke. It was crazy the number of nukes he was getting while driving that PT 76 54 for the most part. He was doing this on a stream mind you. It was almost like every other game he played he got a nuke. I never thought nukes could be so easy for a person to get.

Ok so the M-51 was originally surplus Sherman tanks given to France after WWII. They took the short 76mm low velocity guns off the tanks. They installed the high velocity 76mm gun on the M-50 Sherman tanks and the 105mm gun on the M-51’s. The guns were much bigger than the original turret. To fix the issue the literally cut both the old gun and the back of the turret off the tank. They welded an extension to the back and the new gun mount to the front. From France these tanks were sold and put in a lend/lease program with French Allie’s. Some of these tank had even seen combat action in Libya.

Both the short barreled gun originally on the M4's and the French AT gun that replaced it were 75mm guns. The 76mm guns used by M4's during the wars(WWII/Korea) were AT guns

what i love about the free m51 is that since it’s the “starter vehicle” for israel it has 3 respawns at all times. i got a 6 kill game on the port map and somehow the enemy a panther and an ELC were so blind that they didn’t see this massive sherman right behind them.

I find it is easier to get nukes when you are in a tank that isn't great at one shotting enemies. When you one shot everyone you only get the SP for the kill - but when it takes 2-3 shots to get the kill you get SP for each hit and then the kill as well.

Ppl saying that M-51 is OP on 6.0 are just blatantly clueless. We already had a sherman based powerfull gun on 6.7 (i think it started on 6.7) on the M36B1, that's faster (9 tons lighter with 10HP less), has more variety of shells (M82 and heat with 305mm of pen) and actuall 50cal on top to defend yourself from light spaa. Long story short playerbase did so well with it it's a 5.7 vehicle now kek. Great vid Odd!

i find it more funny that the vehicles that drive around in the hangar are freaking out because of the new stuff in there, so they start driving anywhere BUT the road lol. i got a BMP that was driving on top of my tank and then it just fazed through the ground AND me, resulting in the game crashing. btw, glad to be on the discord now too! best couple of hours i had in a long time i had yesterday haha!

I've been playing this vehicle on Sim this evening and I can say it's naughty. It gets into the mid WW2 event so the toughest things it faces are Tigers and Panther Ds with the likes of Nashorn and Jagdpanzer 4 IV70s also being dangerous to it but honestly, any map where you can get some space, you've got the upper hand. The HEAT round may not be good for 1 shotting things but it often does anyway. Even when it doesn't, it usually damages enough to components to give me a 2nd shot. Tigers and Panthers that can still move angle towards me and I cleave red hot molten holes through them. Averaging 100,000 Silver + per game with it. Best of all, gaijin gives you 2 spawns in sim with it up front so whilst it's a medium and you'd normally get 3 spawns with a medium lineup, they're at least not leaving you hanging with 1 life per game and thus leaving your team high and dry. Honestly don't know if it'll still be in this event when the rest of the Israelis come but for now I'm going to exploit the fact that it is.... Hard.

Pretty good tank, although it takes 1-3 shots to kill something. That gives you quite a bit SP though, that's why you can get a nuke. Score 3 crits then kill = a ton of SP > just a kill

Imo increasing the br of the m51 is pointless the tank will still perform the same. It’s armor doesn’t help the tank and also that heat round looks like it’s op but if you use that in game it isn’t that good because it’s post pen is pretty bad and it makes you shoot some tanks 3-4 times to destroy them. For example, 400 pen sounds like it’s op but that HEAT round is really bad.

I did a double take on the Fire Arc map when I saw your heat round go through a fence and on to hit the target 24:30 ..is that a thing now? That inconsistent tanks comment "Doesn't do damage when it should do damage. And then sometimes you shoot a tank where you shouldn't kill it and it does".. That's me every time I drive anything that uses heat/heatfs (especially 90mm) lol.
