The moment I read the title, I immediately thought of the song "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" by Billy Joel. XD

This video is super fun to watch and the riffs are funny. I liked the illuminati joke, never thought to hear that word from you. Phyllis Diller is not as bad as you say but the better homes and gardens people are so boring I needed your riffs Everytime we had tape audio.... I live only 3-4 hours away from Aurora. I love the jokes about local areas. So fun. I understood them better than I probably should have not being a native.

I have no problem with Phyllis Diller--that was 100% pure hyperbole on my part. If I hated something THAT much, it wouldn't be on Archive. Well, unless I think it would make a great joke (like Jingle Babies).

I really enjoy how the intro visuals and music and the faceless narrator combine into a creepy sense of unease. It's pretty unique and kinda brilliant.

So after doing the math adding up the cost of the video markers stickers signs coffee and then selling each item between .25 and 1.00 that wouldn't be worth shit even in 1980's money.Better off making a sign that says free and putting it out on the curb a day before they pick up the trash. For some reason I have a feeling this would only work for hoarders before the wrecking crew clean up the 86,000 bottle or urine and feces from the house and court ordered mental health visits.

Why Phyllis Diller in a video about Yard Sales?
@adrienfourniercom6 жыл бұрын
I never understand why people entirely re-built their home in purpose to sell it. Maybe they wanted to move because they are bored to live in a dump in the 1st place? Re built your house for yourself and look if you still wanna live in it. Or alternatively burn it to the ground with every thing in it.

Mr. Archive, thanks for another laugh out loud episode. I'm glad you share the same disdain for "Dorf on Golf" as I do. It's not that "Dorf on Golf" is the worst thing to come out of the 80s, it's just that video had EVERY SINGLE HALLMARK ABOUT BAD 80s COMEDY. I can't really name the worst hallmark in that video, but clearly telegraphing the punchline about 35 miles before it is actually said was mind numbing. Also, that video simply WASTES the talent of Tim Conway and Vincent Schiavelli. My head hurts, thanks for sharing the same disdain.
@OddityArchive6 жыл бұрын
I admit, I really liked it when I first saw it (I think I was about 9 years old). Saw it again a couple of years ago after finding a "Complete Dorf" DVD set in a thrift store. It's ok enough with the nostalgia goggles on. The subsequent installments were unwatchable.

I think those shoppers t Phyliss' garage sale might be paid crisis actors. I keep wondering who'd have done a British version of this video. One or both of the Two Ronnies? David Jason? David did play both Granville in Open All Hours and Delboy Trotter out of Only Fools and Hours. Also 50 to 75 _cents_ for records but $100 for a smell CRT TV? It would be the other way round now!
