Self control indeed... someone I know, put 20k on Liverpool to beat Watford in the league at 4/9... I can't understand putting your own money on someone else's advice. I had Saint Roi, Al Boum Photo and Chosen Mate on the Friday. I didn't see any tipster put up three winners. Where I fall down is on how to profit from picking winners. for example, it shows a docket with a 50 e/w double with two horses around the 7/2 mark. Is that a daily bet? One of a few per day? Does he back much on singles? I've taken more out of my paddy power account than I've put in, but not by much. I gave up on place pots when I realized I was getting more winners easily enough and picking the first two home in my selections, but maybe losing the placepot and not not getting anything. I don't have a system of betting. My 3 tips to live by: 1. Never back with money you can't afford to lose. 2. Don't listen to 'experts', pick your own horse and know why you've picked it. 3. Always look for value.

I crossed paths with a guy in a betting shop who got into the punting thing and then we crossed paths 6 years later and he was into what seemed like professional mode with it. He said he credited me with the inspiration to go full on into it, on seeing what i was doing, said he had since bought the tote readout systems in the betting shops for his own home, collected his betting payout receipt cards to declare as taxable income [ " I don't declare them all, of course " ],, his woman was all over him, and, " there's my little brat ", re; the small boy, and he was in exuberance mode. This is all no bull. No exaggeration. Exactly as I describe. He did a belated quinella for a tenner then put 400 on a place bet, both of which flopped, on shorter priced runners, but it didn't bother him. he was that confident in his game, " Oh, well, never mind, " like as a deference to me. He didn't stick around chasing that.

Hello ANDY THANKS FOR GREAT TIPPING its become a habit to see what you tip even tho i dont back all of them. Tho your naps get special attention. The smallest stake I put on was £7 (£1 patent 3 horses 7 bets ) All 3 wre beaten favourite in their last race and won when I backed them. The biggest price was 14/1 The biggest stake I put on in those 3 months a was £20 double Bred from "Frankel" and both won. I back BF in all races where a BF horse is running at all meetings but do Patent, Flag or doubles, trebles, fourfolds. If there are 2 BF in a race I don't back any. I also back those from a good breed. When I do the scoop 6 I always back the same 6 horses doubles and trebles (15D and 20T) In one of those Saturdays I had 5 out of 6 in the scoop 6 and the 5th selection finished 5th. That's the system I use. It doesn't always work but on those occasions, it did.

If you're backing a horse for the Derby, better to scratch off any horses that have run at wolverhampton. The derby is purely about bloodlines anyway, especially horses that were reared in the center mass of Ireland as they grew up eating limestone grass which gives the horse a stronger constitution. So horses that appear to be English e.g. North Light, were actually raised on limestone grass in Ireland.

The key to being profitable while gambling is that you have to buy something tangible for your profits every time you win a decent amount of money ( wardrobe, electronics, jewelry, car, pay bills, etc.) People who keep cash, after they have won it, they bring it back to a race track/ casino, and lose it sooner or later. The second problem is, when people are ahead and doing well, they do not know when to stop and walk away.

I made a living betting Ron Waples senior as he only went every other week with his drives unless the horse just came in from another track and he had the drive in which case he always went with that horse. The horseplayers were that stupid in all the decades they never caught on at Greenwood and Mohawk before Ron went down to the Meadowlands in the twilight of his career.

Unfortunately nobody will ever make money from tipsters. Not because the tipster is bad (Andy is particularly good) but because you will never get the price they put the horse up at. Over time taking the lower price will lose you the edge. For example Hugh Taylor picks plenty of winners but will frequently put a horse up for a price like 8/1 when at no point was it ever higher than 5/1. All the punters take the 5/1 thinking they are clever, but unfortunately will lose long term.

SideFlush yes sir. This was the comment I came looking for. His analysis that Jack Hobbs didn’t turn up on the day is laughable, he ran an excellent race but his stablemate as we now know was a Champion. Jack Hobbs won the Irish Derby because Golden Horn skipped it. Gosden knew which one was better as he won the Arc with him.

At least 40% of races are fixed . Jockeys not making good money are approached on a daily basis to stop horses . As bad as it is in the UK/Ireland , the American racing is just blatant cheating . I always thought the top races were pure until I read Barney Curley's book where he wrote about Graham Bradley .
