Sligs that don't fall asleep would actually make good pilots since they're so small they can take more high-G turns and stuff since they have less blood in their bodies.

The Flying Sligs are an iconic part the the Oddworld games, in my opinion anyway, I always loved how there were different types of Sligs and the Flying Slig, I guess, was the first one to start this trend! Also, upon rewatching the video before uploading I noticed after taking a closer look at the comparison shot at 1:54 that the Flying Slig as shown in Abe's Exoddus actually has the jet engines used by the Slig from Oddworld: Soulstorm, they're just sort of folded down and not in use, which is interesting....

They were always my favourite enemy type lol, I would literally possess them and just mess around with the other enemies for a bit in specific places. KZbin recommending this to me was a surprise, but a welcome one

Agreed, it just suits the industrial style way better I think. :) Like, even in terms of pollution, I can imagine helicopter blades polluting more so than canvas wings.

The beta cutscene for the soda machine turrets are deployed by some sort of aircraft that looks like a VTOL craft possibly the helicopter from The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot concept art.

my copy of oddysee(ps1) has a program failure. i just can't save the last mudokon/s. back in 1998 my dad had the same problem in paramites nest but he called oddworld inhabitants and got a new game for free... does anyone know this problem...

I know this video is older so your not likely to read this at all but I've been watching all your vids in order on my days off Soo. Miniguns don't have recoil due to the system and how it's designed miniguns have no recoil only reason why they aren't used more is because of the power draw and munition cost it take to run the thing.

Man you need to take a breath, and take a step back. your going waaay too deep into lore and fan lore lol. I mean its cool, but its gonna set you up for disappointment. Like people that had all these cool theories about starwars characters like (Snoke) or (Captain Phasma) but they die with 2min of screen time.

True, A LOT of people get way too invested in these kinds of things. xD I know it probably seems like I do because I make so much Oddworld stuff but actually I'm pretty detached from it and don't expect much from it. In fact I almost expect bad stuff from everything now. xD After seeing so many franchises ruined I came up with a rather nihilistic saying 'Everything good seems to exist just so it can be ruined.' But yeah, a lot of people are really invested in Soulstorm, etc, and, like you said, I think a lot will be disappointed. But it's just a game at the end of the day and I personally try to not take anything like that too seriously. :)
