For the groove before the verses/after the fill after the chorus, I’d usually use both of my hands to play those sixteenth notes on the hi-hat because I find it easier. If anything, I find it to be impressive if not more cool to be able to still play the group note for note on the set, but with slight alterations to make it more fluent for myself as a drummer.
