The Wii in 2023 is the definition of that games isn't only about graphics, but the joy it brings while playing all its wonderful games. Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii & Smash Bros Brawl are some great examples of the Wii's game library, and It's truly an astonishing experience to play these games with friends and family, still to this day! Also, if you want to play Wii games but you don't own a Wii, don't worry as it's easy to play Wii games on your PC via an emulator.

God I remember watching the commercial, on Cartoon Network, and I was I like, that looks cool, so I ask my dad, if I could have the wii, and he said, “if I do well in school, then I could have the console”, so I did what could, so then after that, I was just fast asleep, the next morning I woke, the wii was just sitting right next to me in bed, and I was all happy for it, I set it up, played wii sports, and it kicked ass. So I thanked my dad for buying me the wii, greatest nostalgia ever.

Reminds me of when I got home from school one day and was surprised with a Dreamcast! Surprises are the best. I still remember getting a bigger CRT for my birthday that I didn't ask for and didn't expect at all. As you get older it becomes harder to be surprised since you start just requesting for stuff more directly. :(

One of my friends sold me their Wii for $5. It was basically brand new. The Wii he sold me was barely used. Also, my Wii gets lots of attention as on thanksgiving day my entire family played bowling together and it was a blast.

It just dawned on me this week that I need to get another wii. I never bought another one after mines got stolen in 2011 and honestly, I like it more than the switch. My nephew also probably has no idea what it is and I think it"s a fun experience for kids. I will be getting one as soon as I can.

This is why I bought a used Wii U, you can play the classic Wii games and the Wii U games with a single unit. Between those two generations of consoles, there are plenty of games for family fun. You can hack it too providing a similar experience as Dolphin without the compatibility frustrations.

I know in all the nursing homes, psychiatric care facilities, prisons, and so many places where people were essentially trapped and bored. Still to this day. It sucks that switch didn't make the joy cons more like that, then they could re-release old wii games now hd. Plus, it's the same for the touch screen on ds/3ds. On switch but never utilized. So who knows, maybe the future. Meanwhile, people in those trapped places have no new stuff coming in. Plus, all that old hardware with extreme use from tons of strangers who don't necessarily always go through a lot of effort to make sure they stay in perfect condition.

I got one at the Value Village for 15 bucks with all the controllers and wheels and cords and sensors etc. Took it home, softmodded it, put lots of emulators and roms. Lots of Gamecube stuff and Wii as well. Worked perfectly, but eventually I got tired of being tethered to those Wii remotes and started emulating on handheld devices intstead.

Damn I got a wii after my birthday, September 15th, last year when this came out. A refurbished one, but a working one. Then I had to buy another one because it couldnt read dual discs and I couldnt play Super Smash Bros Brawl. After getting a second one and being able to play the game, it shows me that the wii is still a great console. It definitely is better than getting a new console for games that are half finished that go on them.

I used a site called Tradera (Mostly made for Scandinavia and parts of the EU). If you can’t use that, I would recommend checking Facebook Marketplace, eBay and local second hand shops/pawnshops. Those are my recommendations but there are others as well. Hope this helps 😃
